Pre School Leavers 2026

Yesterday we had our last afternoon altogether to celebrate our amazing year. I would like to say thank you for all of the presents, cards and memories we have made! Our last week has been full of giggles, hugs and tears. I am thankful to be part of this journey and so proud of you all!

The new NHS dental fees are out, could you please update your notice areas with the new information.

(Tooth 4) Dental fees/getting registered/fluoride varnish application

We still have dentists taking on in Workington/Whitehaven and Egremont - these are NHS places.

Don't forget to ask about fluoride varnish application if your child is over 3 years old.

Positive Role Model 🥰

A huge congratulations to our Early Years Educator learner, Lauren from Beckermet Nursery, who has been recognised as our Early Years Educator Learner of the Month! 👏

Lauren has shown significant resilience throughout her apprenticeship journey and in reaching End-Point Assessment. She has continued to work hard and remained determined, demonstrating great commitment and perseverance along the way.

In the workplace, Lauren is thriving, with her mentor delighted by the progress she continues to make and the positive work ethic she brings to her role each day.

Her determination and dedication make her a very deserving recipient of this month's award.

💙 Using the dummy too long can cause anterior open bite.

ℹ️ To prevent problems later:

🩷 Give your child as much time without the dummy as possible.

💚 As your baby gets older, try to use the dummy for sleep times only.

💛 Don’t put anything on the dummy to encourage sucking.

🧡 Babies who use dummies have fewer chances to babble.

💜 Extended use of a dummy may contribute to dental and speech sound problems.

🩵 It’s easier to wean a baby off a dummy than a toddler.
