Well that’s the end of another Summer Term at Sunbeams Educare! What an amazing and busy term it’s been! Here is just a glimmer into some of the things we have been doing - We have had potion trays, dinosaur trays, sea-life sensory trays, pirate trays, explored under the sea in our role play area, experimented with water fans on paint and created our own planets and fish! We learnt about where milk comes from and the process it goes through so we can drink it. The children even explored what it would be like to milk a cow and tried chocolate and strawberry milkshake at snack time. The children have continued to help care for our plants, flowers and vegetable patch. They have throughly enjoyed watching them grow, picking them and enjoying them for snack! Some of the children went on a nature hunt and created some flower boards. We learnt about the different countries that took part in the World Cup, found them on the map and celebrated by singing and waving our flags to Wonderwall!

Although we are so sad to see lot’s of the children leaving for the next chapters in their life’s whether that be big school or a different nursery we are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them! We are so excited to see what new experiences and challenges they will face in their new ventures!

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the wonderful parents/carers and families for their continued support and encouragement! Finally thank you to my dedicated staff, for their patience, love, hard work and believe in every single child!

I wish you all a wonderful, fun and exciting Summer holidays! We look forward to welcoming back our existing families and our new families in September!

The children have had great fun celebrating the World Cup! We have been talking about the different countries in the World Cup that England have played against and found them on the map! Some children have talked about the different countries they have lived in and the teams they supported. The children have made predictions of how many goals England would score, we have recorded the results on the board and compared teams goals, who scored more and who scored less. We had our own England snack time outside, sang and waved our flags to the song that England and their fans have celebrated to, ‘Wonderwall’ The children have been playing on our football tray with the blue and red team to see how many goals each team could score and recorded the results!

REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS -

The last day of term will be Monday 20th July and the nursery will close at 12.15pm, please note there will be no lunch club or afternoon session.

Its Party time and all Sunbeams children are welcome! If your child doesn't normally attend on a Monday Morning please feel free to bring them in for the party at 11.00 am and collect them at 12.15 pm. If parent's/carers would like to come in and say goodbye please come in at 12.00
