Exciting News for The Woodview Project
The Woodview Project Alternative Provision, based at Marsh Lane, Worlingham, just outside Beccles, is delighted to share two major milestones in the continued development of our provision.
Following a long and at times challenging planning process, planning permission has now been approved for the project to deliver one-to-one education and support for young people at our site. We recognise that local residents had understandable concerns around potential traffic in Marsh Lane. Throughout the process, we have worked to reassure the community and have committed to introducing suitable passing arrangements within the lane to support the needs of the project and minimise any impact on local residents.
This approval allows us to move forward with greater confidence and continue developing a safe, therapeutic and inspiring environment where young people can learn, grow and thrive.
We are also incredibly proud to announce that The Woodview Project has now secured a licence to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This is a significant achievement and has been the result of many months of hard work, planning and commitment.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is recognised worldwide and will provide our young people with the opportunity to gain meaningful, measurable outcomes alongside the therapeutic, educational and practical support they receive through our provision. Young people will be able to work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards, building confidence, independence, resilience, teamwork and valuable life skills along the way.
This is a huge milestone for The Woodview Project, our Director, Darran Miah, our Coordinator, Gaz Matthews, and the dedicated team who work tirelessly to support our young people each day.
We would like to thank every member of the team for their commitment, resilience and genuine care. Their daily efforts are helping to create a provision where young people feel safe, valued and able to achieve.
With planning approval now secured and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award becoming part of our offer, The Woodview Project is moving forward with real purpose and ambition. We are excited for what lies ahead and for the opportunities this will create for the young people we support across our 34-acre site.
