We have enjoyed welcoming our new Year 7 pupils into school this afternoon, where they have been entertained by our very talented Music department.

School is open from 8am tomorrow morning for all Year groups via the Pupil Entrance - we can't wait to see you all!

Today students at Wirral Grammar School for Girls are celebrating an incredible set of results in their GCSE examinations.

19% of all grades achieved were the very top grade of 9, while 42% of all results were graded 9–8. An impressive 11 students achieved grade 8 or above in all of their examinations and 63% of all entries were graded grades 7-9.

Year 11, we are so proud of everything you've achieved. Your hard work has given you the ultimate foundation for A-Levels and beyond. We are delighted to continue supporting you in our sixth form as you take the next exciting step in your educational journey. Congratulations to you all!

We are looking forward to welcoming you into school this Thursday to collect your examination results! Please come through the staff entrance in the car park to the Hall to collect your results from 8.30 a.m. Any new students are welcome to enrol from 10.30 a.m - 12.30 p.m. Good luck!

Wirral Grammar School for Girls are celebrating another outstanding set of A Level results today, marking a year of remarkable academic success, dedication, and ambitious future pathways.

Demonstrating academic excellence across the board, 15% of all examinations were awarded the top A* grade, with an additional 20% achieving A grades. An impressive 69% of all entries achieved A*-B and 90% of all entries achieved A*–C grades. High achievement was widespread across the year group, with 21% of the cohort securing A* and A grades in three or more of their A Level subjects.

These exceptional results have set our Year 13 leavers up for exciting futures. Many will be taking up places at prestigious higher education institutions, including Oxford, Durham, Manchester, Imperial College, and KCL. Others have secured highly competitive degree apprenticeships at leading national and local firms, while several are embarking on direct employment or Gap Year ventures.

Jenny Ogunmyiwa, Headteacher, said: "We are immensely proud of all our students' successes today. It is wonderful to see that whatever their individual aspirations, they have achieved their goals and secured their places on their chosen courses. We wish them every success as they step confidently into their futures and I would like to extend my thanks to the staff and families who have supported them during their school journey."

What a fantastic end to a brilliant year! KS3 Prize-giving was a fitting tribute to all the hard work and dedication of our pupils this year.
