St John Plessington Catholic College is a Voluntary Aided Catholic 11-18 Academy. We aspire not to have more but to be more.
We serve the population of the Wirral and are oversubscribed in all year groups. Our SJP community is a place where all are respected, celebrated and encouraged to fulfil their true potential. Yesterday 28 year 10 sports leaders assisted in St John’s primary sports day. Our leaders helped support the events on the day and were outstanding throughout the morning. They were commended on their skill set and their behaviour throughout the day! We are so proud of them!

Congratulations to Bella in year 8 who was, despite challenges, Supremes Netball player of the season, for her year group. She can play every position and has been relentless regardless of the position.
She shows respect to coaches, teammates and opposition, supports others and carries herself with a positive attitude on and off the court!

As a token of thanks, Mrs Davies has been working with her art students in Years 7-12 to create a small token to share with staff on Thank a Teacher day. Special thanks to Mrs Davies for sorting this out and a big thanks to all our teachers and support staff for going above and beyond.

Year 11 Student Arrival Arrangements
Year 11 students should arrive at the reception entrance at 1:15pm wearing full school uniform. Please note that students should not wear PE kit.
Our Year 10 Hospitality & Catering students took on a fantastic vegan cooking challenge with grubbymealkits
Working in teams, they created delicious plant-based dishes while developing their teamwork, organisation and cooking skills. Students also explored sustainability and discovered just how flavourful vegan cooking can be.
We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and hard work. A huge thank you to Miss Saxby for making this opportunity possible! 👏

A group of Year 9s took part in a Taster Day at LIPA University on Wednesday. They had a tour of the building, and took part in acting and musical theatre workshops with LIPA students and facilitators. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young people and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They put in so much effort - we can't wait to see what fantastic work they will produce in Year 10 and 11!
