Really happy with the consistent quality out of the kilns lately. Some nice examples here out of an Earthenware kiln today.

Didn't take enough photos, of course! Too busy adjusting the gas and shouting, 'Sawdust!' But some lovely pots today at the Raku Workshop.

I'm thinking today of Janice Kimpton, who sadly passed away on 20th August. Janice was a long time student at Mon Ceramics and was one of my early students at Burton Manor, without whom Mon wouldn't have been possible. Thank you Janice, for all the tealights, fairy houses, totem poles, flower vases and more importantly the laughs.
The family have let me know that there will be a celebration of her life on the 7th September at 1:30pm, Mayfields Woodland Burial ground, Ferry Road, Eastham CH62 0DB. The burial is 10mins walk from the celebration so please wear appropriate footwear (dress how you like).

We’ll be sharing more on here soon to show the variety of work produced — and all the time, focus, creativity and fun that’s gone into it along the way. 🧡

So lovely to see everyone’s ideas come to life!
