🪱🪱Little hands, big discoveries today! We spent a happy time gently finding wiggly worms with our special grabbers. Each worm went into its own little pot, like a tiny, cozy home. Then, all together, we counted our little friends. A perfect day for exploring! 🪱🪱

Today we went on an adventure to the World Museum Liverpool and it was amazing!
We put on our bright yellow vests and held hands with our friends so we could stay safe and close together. We felt brave and excited as we walked into such a big building full of new things to explore.
We saw a zebra standing tall and learned about animals from faraway places. We looked at huge dinosaur bones and wondered how big they must have been when they were alive. We even explored ancient history and asked lots and lots of questions.
“Why is that so big?”
“Where did it come from?”
“How old is that?”
We used our listening ears, our looking eyes and our thinking brains. We talked to our friends about what we noticed and shared our ideas. Some of us felt curious, some of us felt surprised, and all of us felt proud to be learning together.
Our trip helped us to:
🤍 Grow our confidence in a new place
🤍 Build our language by describing what we could see
🤍 Develop our understanding of the world around us
🤍 Strengthen our friendships by sharing the experience
🤍 Follow routines and expectations outside of nursery
Most of all, we felt safe, calm and connected — exploring the world in our own gentle, nurturing way. These are the moments that spark a lifelong love of learning.
What a beautiful day of wonder, curiosity and togetherness. ✨

Today we shared something truly special. 💫
During our visit to the care home, we sat side by side with residents, carefully decorating beautiful Chinese lanterns to celebrate Chinese New Year. What started as a craft activity quickly turned into laughter, chatting, and making new friendships.
We loved how easy it was to make friends and spend time together. It made us feel really happy sitting, talking and laughing with our older friends.
Times like this show us how special it is when little people and older people come together — we can learn from each other, be kind to each other, and make each other’s hearts feel a little bit fuller.❤️

📖Yesterday we had the cosiest, happiest time at Rock Ferry Library 📖
📚We enjoyed taking a special trip on the turtle bus and feeling part of our community. When we arrived, we explored the shelves, choosing books that made us feel excited and curious. We snuggled up together to share stories, look at pictures and listen carefully to story time.📚
We used our kind voices, took turns, and showed how gentle and respectful we can be with books. We talked about the stories, shared our ideas, and enjoyed the calm, warm feeling of being together in such a lovely space.
It felt warm, peaceful and full of wonder — just how learning should feel 💛

⛩️⛩️This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year at nursery and we have loved exploring lots of special activities. We used tweezers to pick up pom poms and count how many we could put into our bowls, helping our fingers grow strong while we concentrated really carefully. We also made beautiful Chinese New Year paintings, using bright colours and patterns while learning about how Chinese New Year is celebrated. We felt very calm and cosy while we worked, taking our time and enjoying creating something special.⛩️⛩️
🧧🧧We also got to try some Chinese foods, which was very exciting. Some of us tried pork dumplings and some of us tried duck steamed buns. We talked about the different tastes and textures and learned about foods that are eaten to celebrate Chinese New Year. It made us feel warm and happy trying new things together, learning about Chinese culture, and sharing these lovely moments as a nursery family.🧧🧧

We are so excited to share our newly revamped role play area in our baby room ✨
We have invested in beautiful new furniture to create a warm, cosy and inviting space where our youngest children can explore, imagine and begin their early role play experiences. The area has been thoughtfully designed to support their curiosity, independence and sense of belonging.
As you can see, the children have already begun to enjoy their new space 💛

Our little chefs have been hard at work in the mud kitchen, creating some delightful "recipes" with soil, water, flowers, and plenty of imagination! 🍲🌸
This hands-on play is more than just fun; it’s a fantastic way to encourage creativity, teamwork, and fine motor skills. From mixing colorful "soups" to pouring and stirring, the children are exploring textures, colors, and their environment in such a wonderful way.
At Daisy Chain Nursery, we love seeing our children fully immersed in play and learning in the great outdoors. 🌿✨

What an incredible surprise we had at nursery today! The children were overjoyed to receive a visit from not one, but two very special guests—Pudsey Bear and Peppa Pig! 🐻🐷
The children were so excited to see Pudsey and Peppa! They couldn’t wait to meet them, give them hugs, and take photos.
It was such a lovely morning seeing all the smiles and laughter. A big thank you to Rainbow Productions, Pudsey Bear and Peppa Pig for making the day so magical💛

🌟 Shadow Play with Torches and Animals! 🌟
Today the children explored shadows in a fun and creative way! Using torches, they cast shadows of their favorite animal toys onto paper and drew around the shapes. 🐘🦁
They were fascinated by how the shadows changed with the angle of the light and loved turning their outlines into colorful creations. It’s been a wonderful mix of discovery, creativity, and play! 💡🎨

What better way to cool down on a warm, sunny day than with some water play? The Little Blossom children had an absolutely delightful time splashing and playing in the paddling pool today. It was the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather while staying cool and having fun.

👨🎨🧑🎨🎨 Today, the Little Blossom children had a wonderful time exploring their creativity in the garden! The fun began with wrapping hula hoops in cling film and hanging them up for everyone to enjoy. A selection of paints and paintbrushes was set out, giving the children the freedom to choose their tools and colors. They dipped their brushes into the paint and made beautiful marks on the cling film, creating their own unique artwork.
The warm weather helped the paint to dry quickly, and as the children played and knocked into the hoops, the dried paint began to flake off. This added an extra layer of excitement as they watched the colorful flakes fall to the ground.
