Blazin' in Beauly Booking open from 02/11/25 at 10AM (UTC) The annual winter school is the jewel in the crown of the Blazin’ Fiddles calendar.

Bruce MacGregor and Blazin' Fiddles join to host a five day tuition week held every October in the beautiful highland town of Beauly.

2026 dates: 19-23 October. Hosted by the Blazers and Bruce MacGregor, and delivered every October in the beautiful Highland setting of Beauly. The village boasts a perfect assortment of shops, pubs and cafes including world-renowned Tweed shop, ‘Campbell’s of Beaul

y’ & Morison’s Ironmongers; a wonderful shop with historically intriguing tales as the favourite haunt of James Scott Skinner, one of Scotland’s most famous fiddlers. Each tutor offers classes to suit every ability and as well as a packed timetable of fiddle, guitar, and piano classes there are masterclasses, song sessions, ceilidh’s, sessions, concerts, and one-to-one lessons to keep you busy throughout the week. Now that we're firmly into May, it's time to look ahead to our summer tuition weekend, Blazin' in Biggar!

A sister music school to the well established Blazin' in Beauly, the Blazers are delighted to return with the fifth Blazin’ in Biggar in 2026!

Running from 27th - 28th June, we invite fiddlers, guitarists, accordionists and piano players for a weekend of workshops and music-making in the beautiful South Lanarkshire town of Biggar.

The tuition weekend is informal, with a focus on relaxed learning, building connections and having fun!

Our classes are:

Intermediate Fiddle
Intermediate Fiddle 2
Advanced Fiddle
Mixed Instrument

Participants can also book for either the Saturday or Sunday if you can only make it for one day, or if you just want to come along and try it out!

Hey folks! Here’s a thing you might want to get involved with! Over twenty traditional musicians are joining up with ex rugby players and cycling enthusiasts (total 38) to cycle from MacGregor's in Inverness to Oban with musical stop offs and ceilidhs along the way. We’ve already raised £12k for the foundation but you can help us by either donating here or sharing with everyone you know!
