Our Beattock/Johnstonebridge partnership football teams have had a busy week this week! On Monday the team of mainly boys took part in a local tournament at Gretna after school. This was the first time they had played together as a team and improvements were certainly made as they played more games. A great effort was put in by all and their positive attitude was great.

This afternoon it was the girl's turn. They took part in the annual Annandale and Eskdale girl's football tournament. They did brilliantly well winning two games and finishing second overall in the small schools tournament. Lots of good goals, passes and defensive play and their enthusiasm was good to see.

Very proud of all those representing the school this week. The girls wanted to surprise the boys with their silver medals so hopefully haven't rubbed it in too much!!

Our Playground Renovation is well underway! 💙🥳💙
Unfortunately due to all of the wooden playground structures being rotten and unsafe, we had to take the difficult decision to get them removed, ready to be blank canvas and give us time to plan what to do with the space!
Thanks to Chris and the team from Sir Robert Macalpine, we now have a blank space to work with and add to! These guys gave up theor time to do some community work for free and it is so appreciated!!! 🥰 Here are some photos of them in action! Chris has been back spreading grass seed for us where the fort used to be and they are planning on another visit soon to sort out the wooden structures under the willow, which is also rotten but Chris and the team have made it safe for us just now. They also made us a new floor for our shed! 😊
