Diya has created an insect haven! 🦋

Practising her presentation skills during her voice note, Diya researched, picked and planted flowers that would directly aid pollinators, helping improve the surrounding environment as part of her Gold Mini Duke.

In a world where sustainability is so important, the Junior Duke offers challenges that support the learning of sustainability in many aspects, like saving water, using less electricity, how to recycle and lowing carbon footprints, giving children a foundation to be mindful of the world around them. 🌍

Taking the lead on an adventure! ⛰️

From planning to fruition, Harley demonstrated this challenge immaculately, with a detailed plan and kit list, earning him an Outstanding Achievement! 🌟

Taking on an expedition means learning several new skills, including map reading, navigation and packing the correct equipment, some of which may not go right the first time. That’s why this Silver Senior Duke challenge asks for children to plan not one but two trips, allowing space to learn from any mistakes made from the first adventure and deciding what could be changed for next time. Learning is power! 💪

Teachers making a difference! 💪

We came across this inspiring story and wanted to share it!

In just 4 weeks, an ambitious challenge became reality for Alex Molina, Resource Manager at Step Teachers as he, a colleague and a friend embarked on a mission: 5 countries in 60 hours, completing challenges along the way to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

This impressive challenge lead to the trio battling little sleep, as well as tight time schedules, putting their resilience, planning and time management skills to the test. ⏳

Meeting many people along the way, who took time to learn about their challenge and even donate, they were blown away by the kindness shown to them!

Kindness goes along way, especially when people are pushing themselves to the limit! The 5 countries challenge is now over, but why not spread some kindness today. 🙌

Around the world, as summer takes over, the risk of fires and how quickly they can spread is becoming a prominent issue.🔥

Campfires in the summer are fun to build, light and toast marshmallows on, but understanding how to do this safely and in the correct environment is key to having the best fun possible. If you’re a Gold Mini Duker, you will be a pro at this from your Safety challenge! Here are a few tips on building campfires outdoors safely:

🏕️ - Find a safe area: Stay at least 15 feet away from tents, trees, and low branches. Avoid having BBQs on any flammable surfaces during very dry and prolonged weather
🌲- Stack with care: Place your tinder in the middle, lay kindling loosely over it for airflow, and add larger logs step by step.
🔥 - Keep it small: Do not let the flames get too high or out of hand, and never leave the fire alone.
