Reading School and the Gloucestershire Grammar School Consortium have announced plans to move their 11+ entrance tests from September to July.

This change currently applies only to these schools and does not affect the admissions arrangements used by most grammar schools.

The schools involved have cited reasons including reducing summer revision pressures and completing the testing process before the summer holidays.

As always, admissions arrangements vary between schools, so it is important to check the latest information directly from those on your shortlist.

Introducing the SDE 11+ Book Club.

A weekly small-group online session where children explore literature, vocabulary and ideas in a structured way.

Across five weeks, students build inference skills, analyse texts, identify literary devices and express ideas using evidence.

Each week includes reading, structured comprehension questions and a discussion led by a specialist SDE 11+ Tutor.
