Day one complete! After some very tired legs on the journey to camp, everyone enjoyed a well-earned dinner and is now resting up ready to take on tomorrow’s final challenge. 💪🏕️

☀️ Day 2 smashed by the Silvers! 🚣‍♂️💪

Today the team paddled all the way from Bisham to the far side of Maidenhead Bridge 🌊🌉 The sunshine was out, spirits were high, and the teamwork stepped up massively with a much stronger and more effective group paddling technique 👏🔥

After a big day on the water, it’s pasta for dinner tonight 🍝😋 before the final day of the expedition, which will finish with a walk to complete the challenge 🥾🏕️

Amazing effort from everyone — one final push tomorrow! 💙🙌

Day 1 for our Silver DofE group has been a fantastic success! 🌟

Despite a challenging start paddling into a strong headwind this morning 💨🚣, the team showed real determination and resilience, reaching the end point in great time. 💪

With tents now pitched ⛺ and cooking underway 🍳, everyone is settling in well and refuelling after a big first day. Spirits are high and the group is ready to take on another exciting day on the river tomorrow! ✨

Our trip has come to an end, and what a way to finish! ⛷️❄️

We wrapped up with an amazing day on the slopes, followed by a fun-filled tubing session to end the week on a high. There may be lots of tired bodies, but that just shows the incredible effort, energy, and enthusiasm everyone has brought all week long! 💪✨

A fantastic trip full of memories—well done to all!

Ski Trip Update: The sun finally made an appearance and it was the perfect day to hit the slopes! 🌄 Everyone made it to the very top of the mountain and enjoyed even more skiing.

It’s been amazing to see so much progress, teamwork, and support as students take on new challenges and push themselves further each day. 💪👏

We wrapped up with a great presentation from the ski instructors and are all excited for one last sunny day tomorrow! 🌞

The sunshine may have disappeared this morning, but the smiles definitely didn’t! We kicked things off with some bum boarding fun before heading higher up the mountain this afternoon to continue building our skills.

A special highlight today was celebrating Beth’s 18th birthday with cake at lunch 🎂

We’ll be rounding off another fantastic day with an evening of bowling 🎳

Day 2: Ski Trip ⛷️❄️

Another absolute scorcher on the slopes today! ☀️ Students are making fantastic progress, showing growing confidence and independence with every run. From exploring new areas to sharing nonstop laughter, the energy has been amazing all around.

More adventure, more smiles, and plenty more fun still to come! 🎿✨

Day 1 of the 2026 Alfriston Ski Trip ⛷️🏔️

The group arrived safely and hit the slopes today! Despite the very warm weather ☀️, everyone showed great courage and determination, pushing themselves throughout the day 💪.

Everyone handled the heat brilliantly and, as you can see from the photos 📸, cooled down with a well-deserved ice cream 🍦 after a long and tiring day on the slopes.

We’re looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow! ❄️⛷️

DAY 2 - YEAR 8 RESIDENTIAL Bright & early start today! 🌅 Our super-keen early risers jumped straight into an action-packed day and didn’t stop smiling.

The group took on a great range of team challenges, from designing and racing their own Flintstone cars 🚗, to testing their senses on a guided sensory obstacle course. They worked together to build and race barrel boards, and tackled a pastoral challenge that saw the whole group transported across an area without touching the ground 🤝

We finished the afternoon with some lively Frisbee fun 🥏 before dinner, and this evening will end with a boogie bash party 🎶 — playlist currently being put together.

Despite the colder weather ❄️, everyone has embraced every activity with fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork.

Tomorrow brings woodland games 🌲 and a low ropes course before heading back in time for assembly, where they can’t wait to share their adventures 😄
