Following a busy programme of mock tests at our different venues, our 2026 11 Plus mock test season came to an end today with our final exam in Langley.

We have been proud to welcome so many students this year, with many attending several different mock tests. Each mock gives children valuable experience of working independently under real exam conditions, helping them become familiar with the environment, timings and pressure of the day itself.

Our mocks are also an important learning opportunity. After each test, students receive access to a video explanation for every question they answered incorrectly, helping them understand their mistakes and know how to approach similar questions next time.

A huge thank you to our wonderful invigilation team and to all the families who supported their children along the way.

To every child taking their 11 Plus exam this year, stay calm, believe in yourself and show what you can do. We wish you the very best of luck! 💜🍀

📖 Congratulations to Our Book Club Competition Winner!

This month, our book club explored the imaginative world of Truckers: The First Book of the Nomes by Terry Pratchett. For the competition, readers were asked to rank the characters by qualities such as bravery, kindness and trustworthiness.

A huge congratulations to Leela for winning with her fantastic character-ranking poster! We loved the colourful illustrations, individual star ratings and carefully chosen words describing the different characters. Her entry was creative, thoughtful and showed a great understanding of their personalities.

Leela will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for her brilliant effort. Very well deserved! 🎉

A Round of Applause for Our Book Club Competition Winner!

In May/June, our book club explored the imaginative world of The Cloud Hunters by Alex Shearer. To celebrate the book, members were invited to create a painting inspired by a scene or theme from the story.

Congratulations to Alina for winning this month’s competition with her beautiful watercolour painting, The Sky of Clouds and Jellyfish.

Alina’s artwork captured the atmosphere of the novel wonderfully. Using layers of blues and whites, she created a striking sky scene that reflects the sense of wonder and adventure found throughout The Cloud Hunters. The floating jellyfish and cloud-filled landscape showed great imagination, and the watercolour technique gave the painting a dreamlike quality that really brought the book to life.

As a reward for her fantastic effort and creativity, Alina will receive a £10 Amazon voucher. Very well deserved.
