I've been working on a new request recently, to compose a song for someone particularly special! What a shame to think AI could ever replace that very personal process.

Surely AI should support human creativity and growth, not replace it.

Please support our artists, musicians, dancers, and all those who push the boundaries through creativity in its many forms.. without them we may as well all be robots!

I had the pleasure of seeing this magical concert on Tuesday evening. The performances were wonderful!
And the benefits of a strong music offering in schools couldn't have been more evident. These were really inspirational young people demonstrating not just musical talent but confidence, dedication, resilience, leadership and team spirit. Just awesome really 👏🎶

Lately my studio has been filled with new, original music from a few students who are venturing into the joy of composing.

It might be an improvised doodling or more methodical and carefully crafted piece, but the results are always honest and beautiful. And they are always so different! That's because, of course, they are coming from a real person with thoughts, feelings, memories, skills and tastes. No AI here! 🚫

I get to know my students super well and this is one of those moments that brings a tear to my eye 🥹

It struck me I have a manuscript book full of my own original doodlings which I don't often get to share, so I've popped one on my channel. It's quite simply called "Rise".

Funnily enough today I recorded a new composition with the help of one of my super Year 6 leavers... The voice of an angel and enough to bring a little tear to the eye! 🥹

I love to watch the Vienna Summer concert. This year is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, with some of the most well known and wonderful pieces that will bring a tear to the eye 🥹
