A little winter blog post if you fancy reading some solstice musings.

Winter Forest School hits differently. The fire is on for longer. We stomp our feet and play games to keep bodies moving and we have urns of hot water constantly on standby, so tea can warm hands and bellies. All of these things sound quite romantic, don’t they!? And they are, but the truth is tha...

We're really excited to announce the start of a new project for us:

Fill Your Cup: For Parents / Carers of SEND children (Free)
Sunday 7th December 10am - 12pm

This is a free, adults only session. Spaces are strictly limited so booking is essential.

Our hope is that this session will help you feel a bit more supported and replenished. We'll be lighting the fire, foraging a snack, drinking some tea and doing a nature based craft.

This is not a counselling or therapeutic group, but a chance to come and be with people who get it. It doesn't matter if your child is diagnosed, undiagnosed, on a pathway, home educated, in a special school or in mainstream. Whatever the circumstance, if you have an SEND child, you are welcome.

I didn’t drink tea at all until I lived and studied in London 17 years ago. One winter weekend, sick of the relentless business of London life, I escaped to Wakefield with my flatmate to stay with her Dad. The West Yorkshire countryside was covered in snow and we arrived after our very lengthy jou...

The Hub will be in Edgerton Park and will host much needed groups, support network and tutoring. Please check out Space for Yew CIC's page and see for yourself the amazing work that is happening.

Check out our latest blog post and see if it's something you relate to. We'd love to hear what you think.

“Jack of all trades, but a master of none.” This saying has often been used to describe me; the way I don’t stick at any hobby, interest or job past basic competence. I lose interest once I’ve got the hang of something and move on to the next shiny thing. Although this is a very apt descript...

This is us: Laura and Amy in our happy place. Sitting amongst the trees at work while being served amazing concoctions from the mud kitchen cafe.

We’re very lucky to get to do what we do. As a pair we have skills the other one doesn’t and balance each other out perfectly. Did you know that we’d only known each other for 3 weeks when we went into business together!? When you know, you know, you know!?… we’ve been creating magic together and haven’t looked back ever since. That was three years ago 💚

We passionately believe in autonomy of choice, nature education, emotional well-being and in preserving childhood. We love to craft, use tools, be silly and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Listen to this with the sound on… this gorgeous clip deserves a spot all of its own. We celebrated Beltane today at Forest school and one of the reception class made up their very own Beltane song as she crafted away. How much joy has this brought to your day!?

Have a read of our latest blog post all about spring and lovely ladybirds

Did you know that a group of ladybirds is called a loveliness?! I’ve just looked it up and think it’s a very fitting collective noun for them. Every year we have at least 50 ladybirds over-wintering in our house. I live in an old, rented farmhouse with single glazed, original windows. There are ...
