⭐️MEET THE TEACHERS⭐️

🧡 Liam | Musical Theatre Coach (Saturday Classes)

Liam is a Scottish-based musical theatre performer and choreographer who has performed across the UK. After training at the University of the West of Scotland and New College Lanarkshire, Liam went on to appear as Rod in 'Avenue Q', Angel/Dance Captain in 'Kinky Boots', and George in 'Twisted (UK Tour)'

He is thrilled to be joining the team at Reconnect and can't wait to get started with everyone!!

⭐️MEET THE TEACHERS⭐️

🧡 Katie | Singing Coach

Katie Wills is a professional freelance musician, vocalist, pianist, songwriter, performer, tutor/community musician facilitator, and session/recording musician based in Glasgow. Alongside performing, writing, recording and teaching music, she also sings and plays keys in her wedding band, Cassien, as well as a soloist, performing at events and venues across Scotland (and sometimes further afield)!

Katie graduated from the University of the West of Scotland last July with a First Class BA (Hons) in Commercial Music, as well as being awarded the Court Medal. She also gained a HNC in Musical Theatre from New College Lanarkshire, Motherwell, years previous. Katie has also built up a bank of session work (live and recorded), predominantly writing, recording and producing for clients and their projects. She has also been involved in many original and collaborative projects, having had her own solo project and also fronting her previous band, Artax, as the lead vocalist, lyricist and co-songwriter.

Katie has taught vocals, keys, songwriting and performance (1-2-1s, group lessons and workshops) with several organisations, including InTune Music, MGR Music, Andrew Walker School of Music, Riverside Music College & more. She is also currently teaching vocals at the Reconnect Academies Rock School every Saturday!

Katie has a huge love and passion for music, community and most importantly, singing. She couldn't imagine doing anything more fulfilling than working within the creative industries and the musical community!

⭐️MEET THE TEACHERS⭐️

🧡 Sam | Dance Coach

Sam is an actor, dancer and choreographer, recently graduating from New College Lanarkshire in BA in Musical Theatre. She is a founding member of Cuttin’ Aboot Theatre Co. With the company, she was choreographer for ‘The Caravel’ by Milly Sweeney, performed in Glasgow and at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and also been an actor in multiple of their productions, most recently, ‘The Best Time to be a Teenager’ by Bronagh Docherty.

Over the past year, Sam has been choreographing at Glasgow Acting Academy, working on their annual musicals and pantomimes, as well as teaching dance technique and performing skills throughout the year.
She worked with Reconnect Theatres, choreographing their summer intensive- Madagascar JR and can’t wait to work with the wonderful students at RAYS!

⭐️WORKSHOP WITH... ANNA-FAY JACKSON⭐️

🪩 About Anna-Fay 🪩
Anna-Fay Jackson is no stranger to life at sea. Taking on her first cruise ship contract straight out of training at a top drama school in London, Anna - Fay fell in love with the ocean and cruising and hasn’t stopped since! She recently finished a contract with Princess Cruises, performing in numerous production shows on a world cruise, including Magic to Do, a musical produced by Stephen Schwartz (creator of WICKED). Performing on a cruise ship has allowed Anna-Fay to travel the world, doing what she loves, and she is so excited to be able to share a little taste of what her life has been like for the past eight months!

Other Credits include: Princess Thistle, Oor Aladdin (Reconnect Theatres), Lead Vocalist, Viking Cruises (Blackburn International), Mary/Annie, Growing Up In The Gorbals (Workshop) (Citizens' Theatre), Young Alice, ALICE (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama)

We're so excited to have the wonderful Anna-Fay in today for a workshop, including learning one of the numbers from a show on the ship, and a chance to pick her brain about all things performing and all things cruising!

⭐️MEET THE TEACHERS⭐️

🧡 Maya | Teaching Assistant

Maya first joined the Reconnect family in 2022 and has spent the last 4 years growing into a versatile performer and a dedicated Teaching Assistant!

Credits whilst training; Kaa in Welcome to the Jungle Book, Melman in Madagascar Jr, John in Peter Pan

For Maya, the classes have been about more than just acting—it’s where she learned the confidence to never hold back. From learning to devise original work from scratch to mastering scripts, group dancing and character skills, she loves exploring every corner of the theatre world at RAYS! 📖✨

Now 14, Maya balances her own training with her role as a Teaching Assistant. She loves the unique position of still learning her craft while getting to support the younger students as they start their own journeys.

In her words:
“The sheer amount of support I’ve had from the people I’ve met along the way is my favourite thing about RAYS. I’ve made so many new friends and they inspire me every step of the way.” 🧡

⭐️MEET THE TEACHERS⭐️

🧡 Catriona | Principal & Acting Coach

Catriona is a theatre director and actor who discovered her passion for teaching at a young age! She began assisting classes at her local Performing Arts School throughout her teenage years, before going on to train at a top UK Drama School. Whilst training, she continued her teaching journey, and soon after graduating, began teaching at Reconnect Stage School in 2023.

Alongside teaching, Catriona is also Associate Director (Youth & Creative Projects) at Reconnect Theatres. This means she helps the development and direction of their Youth performance opportunities throughout the year. You may have also seen her as the comic in Reconnect Theatres Christmas Panto's 'Sleeping Beauty' 2023, 'Oor Aladdin' 2024 & 'Snow White' 2025!

Directing Credits include: The Wee Mermaid (Reconnect Theatres), Madagascar JR (Reconnect Theatres), DRAMA GIRLS (SheSpeaks Productions), Legally Blonde, Ordinary Days, Kinky Boots (Edinburgh Fringe)

Catriona expressed: "I'm so proud of what we have achieved in the past few years! When I began teaching, we had two acting classes a week with a handful of students; now we're a thriving youth school providing 12 contact hours a week across 9 classes, with over 70 students! I can't wait to see what's in store for us next..."

We are so excited to offer a brand new opportunity at Reconnect Academies Youth School - RAYS Collective!

🧡 What is RAYS Collective?
RAYS Collective is a new opportunity we’d like to offer at Reconnect Academies Youth School. This class will allow a small group of students to work with core members of Reconnect Theatres, and may extend to working with external industry professionals.

🧡 What We’re Looking For...
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who demonstrate positive attitudes, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn.

🧡 When & Where...
Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm (Term Time) at Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate. This class will be free of charge. Classes will commence from Thursday 19th of February 2026.

💌 Auditions:
Auditions will be held on Thursday 5th of February 2026 at the Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate between 5-8pm. Once your child has signed up, they will receive a time-slot during this session to come along and audition. Applications close Saturday 31st of January 2026 at 5pm

Eligibility...
To be eligible to audition, you must fit the following criteria:
Be between the ages of 11-18
Have completed one full term at RAYS or...
Have worked on a previous project with Reconnect Theatres (e.g. Christmas/ Easter Panto or Summer Intensive)

🧡 What to Prepare… Those auditioning will need to prepare one monologue of their choosing 1-2 minutes in length. This can be from a play, film or TV series. We’d love to see their individuality shine through so we recommend selecting a monologue that resonates with them.

We are looking for someone to join our friendly and passionate teaching faculty at RAYS!

We are looking for 1 or 2 candidates to fill the following positions:
🎵 Musical Theatre Ensemble Singing Teacher - Tuesday 5-8pm (*Only required for 2 Hours within that time) at Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate
🪩 Mini's Musical Theatre & Musical Theatre Teacher - Saturdays (10:30am-11:30am/12:30pm-2pm) at Reconnect Howden Park, Livingston

We're looking for someone with resilience, drive and desire to give our youth school students the best teaching possible!

🎭 Previous Teaching Experience desirable
🎭 Candidates will have PVG or similar, or be happy to obtain one
🎭 A Qualification in Performing Arts, or related field desirable

Pay negotiable depending on experience
