There may be clouds in the sky, but the sun is always there waiting to shine through. ❤️

Pleased to say I avoided the rain on my run this morning. Never get tired of the beautiful sky 💙

Come along and try out the Fab, Fit and Fun Outdoor Class at Drove Road Park tomorrow night at 6.30pm. First session is FREE. A great class where you are welcome to get involved and work to your ability with no pressure.

Exercise is for everyone and everyone starts somewhere. You should never be made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable, especially if you are pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. I firmly believe in supporting people however I can so please do not worry about being fit enough, able enough or 'enough' in any way. Believe me, you are awesome.

If you have any questions or any concerns, please just drop me a message. Hope to see you there. 💖

I wish the people making judgements would listen to this guy and keep their opinions to themselves, but I also wish the people who struggle with their weight could listen to this guy and accept what he is saying. You are not lazy, you are not a failure, you are biologically different to the lean person standing next to you. ❤️

Thanks to the lovely Welshie for some photos of this mornings session at Limerigg Village Hall. A great wee start to the morning and fab work by everyone. Have to say, hats off to Welshie for doing the entire session with therapy dog Astronaut on her knee.

Safe to say I won't be bringing my dog along. The yoga balls wouldn't survive, and neither would my nerves. 🤣🤣

Lots to get involved in this week and something for everyone.

We have the new Exercise Your Way at Limerigg Village Hall tomorrow morning. Just come along and join in.

Tomorrow night is Burn & Run in Livingston, meet at the car park near the Children's Play Park by the Civic Centre. Combining Bootcamp and Running this is a great session if you want to add that all important strength work but don't really want to do it.

Tuesday night is the Fab, Fit and Fun Bootcamp in Armadale at Drove Road Park. A lovely session suitable for most. All exercises are adaptable and can be low impact. The whole point is to come along, move, have fun and make some friends.

Wednesday is the gentler version of the Burn & Run in Blackridge, meeting at 5 Main Street. We do a 25 min Bootcamp, again everything is adaptable to your ability. Followed by a 25 min run, jog or walk with a tail walker so no-one is left behind.

I strongly believe exercise is for everyone and we should all feel welcome whatever our abilities. Drop me a message if you have any questions or any concerns.

You may need to bare with me next week for my classes, feeling a tad delicate. I took part in The Iron Keep 5hr Endurance Run yesterday, running 5k loops as many times as we wanted or could for 5 hours. I managed 6 loops of a particularly brutal course covering 19.6 miles (the laps were a bit more than 5k).

It was a great run and the scenery was stunning. Base camp at Duncarron Medieval Village was something else, complete with a battle reenactment to start us off.

The massive climb up a tough hill that ideally you needed to be a goat 🐐 to do was challenging coupled with steep downhills and a few more uphills certainly made it interesting so I am proud of my achievement. Now if the nerves in my glutes could stop jingling, that would be appreciated 🤣

One of the biggest barriers we often face when looking to improve our physical health is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of injury, fear of looking silly, fear of being judged, fear of asking for help.

I know this, because I was once there myself. Sometimes I still am. The thing is, anything new is a bit scary but like everything else once you've done it a few times you realise it's not so bad. You might actually enjoy it 😉

I work with my clients to write a plan that is tailored to them. It takes into account their goals, their hobbies, any medical issues so that it works best for them.

I also ask my clients what they enjoy and what they really don't like. I am not going to write a plan that they are going to hate to do. What's the point in that? I'll also adjust a plan as we go if there is something they don't like as there is always something else we can do.

And the whole time I will be there to guide, support and distract when the voice in their head tells them that they can't do it.

Why should you trust me? Because I listened to that voice in my head for a long, long time until I finally learnt to ignore it and try anyway. I'm not perfect but I'm honest, authentic, genuine and passionate about helping others realise they are worth it ❤️

Do you find that you sit at a desk for long periods of time? Take a break and give your body a bit of TLC. Set a reminder on your phone or watch every hour and make yourself stand up and do this little movement circuit.

It not only helps your body, it helps your mind to reset and refocus. We often think when we are at our desks and on a roll that to stop is detrimental. Actually this is not true. Taking a break is better for your productivity because it boosts your mood and health.

For the next few weeks, we will be running the Exercise Your Way Bootcamp at Limerigg Village Hall for free. A great opportunity to come along, get involved and put your health and wellbeing front and centre.

It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day of life and become so bogged down that our physical and mental wellbeing takes a back seat. This is an opportunity to take the first steps towards changing this.

Whether you are new to exercise, have health conditions that have impacted your abilities, haven't done any exercise for a while or are just looking for something a bit closer to home, there's something for everyone. The class is a mixture of bootcamp and chair based exercises which means there is something for everyone. I set up the class so you can choose either option or pick and choose between the two depending on your ability.

Drop me a message if you have any questions or concerns, especially if you are worried about starting. I understand that concern more than most and I'm here to support you in any way I can.

As an added bonus to supporting your own health, you are also supporting the community by using the Hall 😀

Up next this week is Burn & Run/Walk in Blackridge. And I've invested in a canopy so that we have a bit of shelter if needed!

Come and join us for a 25 minute bootcamp session followed by a 25 min run or walk, with a tail walker so you aren't left behind.

A great chance to combine some strength and cardio work, make new friends and enjoy the fresh air.

First session is free so give it a go ... what have you got to lose
