🌧️🌳 Rainy day adventures!🌳🌧️

Who says a little rain should stop us enjoying the outdoors? ☔️💚

Today our squirrel group took lunch out into the Country Park and found the perfect sheltered spot amongst the trees. The children snuggled up on our picnic blankets, keeping cosy and dry while enjoying their lunch surrounded by nature. 🥪🧺🌿

There’s something pretty special about sharing a picnic in the woods, listening to the rain falling through the trees and watching the world around us. 🌧️🍃

Rain or shine, there’s always an adventure waiting outdoors!💚🌲

🦋 A magical learning experience has arrived! 🐛

We are so excited to begin watching our tiny caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies over the coming weeks. The children will have the opportunity to observe each stage of the life cycle, from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally butterfly, encouraging curiosity, awe and a deeper understanding of the natural world.

This kind of real-life experience supports children's curiosity, encourages scientific thinking, and helps them develop a love and respect for nature through first-hand exploration. 🌿

We have enjoyed lots of sensory play in shaded areas outdoors, with the musical instruments and organza fabrics, watching the fabric move in the wind, discussing direction and speed. We also enjoyed some role play in the nursery garden on our Pirate ship! 🏴‍☠️ developing our language skills and confidence!

🐞🌿 Mini Beast Hunt Fun!
The children loved exploring the country park on a mini beast hunt today—finding bugs, building confidence, and learning about nature through play 💚
We have limited spaces available from August 26 and are welcoming new families and children aged 0-5 years old.

We discussed the properties of our own faces, noticing similarities and differences, applying this knowledge to our creations🗿

The children really enjoyed circle games in our outdoor environment this week🌾☀️.

There is nothing better than learning through play together! Children took turns of characters in the game, extending and elaborating play ideas through roleplay ❤️

We are now taking enquiries for August 26 places across all age groups.

✨ Funded places available for children aged 3-5 and eligible 2 year olds, through our partnership with West Lothian Council.

👶 Limited private places available for under 2’s, plus additional hours available for funded places in older age groups.
