Heartland Music Heartland Music is headed by Alice Gentenaar (Alec). She is also choral director for the Commonwealth Children's Choir and Heartland Voice

Alec is an instrumental teacher with decades of experience in teaching individual, small group and ensemble lessons. Private individual and group lessons available on voice, recorder and violin. Our new term starts next Monday and we're looking forward to welcoming all of our students.

We have two new vocal groups starting this term.

For P3-P7 our Heartland Junior Voices is perfect for those who enjoy singing and musical games.

For S1-S6 our Heartland Youth Ensemble Will be working on musical theatre ensemble pieces and songs from our favourite shows.

We have been learning recently about major and minor keys and the circle of fifths through our warm ups. So I was especially impressed today when M let me know she'd wanted to see what Ode to Joy sounded like in a minor key. She's renamed it Ode To Sorrow. What do we think?
