ELAC Study Vacations

Have you considered hosting students? Do you have a spare room? It’s a great way to supplement your summer holidays! We run a number of language and activity courses for teens from China, Italy, Spain and the Middle East at Bath Spa University as well as at Bath Uni. As a host, you would need to provide:

✓ Comfortable spare/guest room
✓ Your welcoming home and encouraging conversations in English with your student(s)
✓ Breakfast – (for example – providing cereals and milk or bread and jam available for the student in the morning)
✓ Dinner – cooked meal to be shared with you/your family
✓ 1 packed lunch on Saturday (full day trip) & 1 lunch with your family on Sunday (day spent with you)
✓ One off pick up and drop off - Avon Street Coach Park in central Bath upon arrival and departure

You will:
✓ Earn £147 per week pro rata per student in July and August.
Earn - £720 (hosting 2 kids), £1080 (hosting 3 kids) or £1440 (hosting 4 kids) if you host our June group from China for 3 weeks 9th-30th June
✓ Supplement your income tax free
✓ Make friends
✓ Enrich your children’s knowledge of foreign cultures
✓ Create wonderful experiences for the whole family

Hosts locations we are interested in are anywhere within Bath as well as Peasedown St. John and Batheaston/Bathford.

You could host up to 4 of our International students who are here to study English for just a few weeks this summer.You need to provide:

- Comfortable Spare/Guest Room(s)
- Your welcoming home and encouraging conversations in English with your student(s)

- Dinner – cooked meal to be shared with your family
- 1 packed lunch & 1 lunch with your family on weekends only
- One off pick up and drop off - Avon Street Coach Park in central Bath

You will:

- Earn £120 (in June) and £133 (in July) per week per student (many students prefer to be placed in two’s, so twin or bunk bed rooms are ideal, but single bedrooms are needed too)
- Make friends
- Meet other host families like you
- Enrich your children’s knowledge of foreign cultures
- Create wonderful experiences for the whole family

Our students are very busy with lessons and activities all week. Sundays are spent with your family

!! Single parents and couples/single people without children are welcome too!

We still have many of our Austrian students to place from 13-26 June and also many Spanish, Italian and Latvian students between 4-27 July.
