Do you rely on AI? You shouldn’t. Really, you shouldn’t!

I see people all the time using Grok, Copilot and ChatGPT to get important information, that gets used unchecked. Remember if you don’t know what the correct answer is, you won’t be able to challenge this gaslighting.

Sure, this is a silly example, but what if I’d asked how many Ibuprofen is it safe to give the kids?

If your business, project, photo edits or website is important to you, maybe relying on a technology that spells worse than a toddler is not ideal.

Capturing fireworks and sparklers are one of the most challenging things to get right.

Not only is it complex, with the balance of ambient and flash needing to be perfect, you get ZERO time to practice.

The fireworks shot here was with an off camera flash near the couple, edited out. The shutter speed was relatively slow at around 1/20, which brings in enough of the ambient fireworks light. ISO quite high for the same reason.

Remember with flash, you don’t need a fast shutter speed to ensure sharp images because the flash freezes your subject.

The sparkler shot was similar except I used an on-camera flash. To avoid spill I added a honeycomb grid to it. This keeps the flash just in the centre of the frame and allows the crowds each side to be lit by just ambient, which is needed for good atmosphere.

There was an off-camera flash behind creating this lovely outline rim-light.
