A third of my family moved across the Sea after three months of being on my doorstep 🥹
And as much as the start of a new adventure for them is life affirming and exciting, for those left behind it is a little bit heartbreaking 💔 😢
So we activated the reset button with a beautiful summer cruise, filled up with water, and dropped off our rubbish.
And I think after a weekend of self soothing myself with my crafts, the heartache will ease enough to start planning our own adventures with visits and holidays across the Sea 🌊 😊

Took Val off to Wales for the practical element his Diploma in Insta Hubby Photography Level 2...and I think we can all agree...he gave it his best shot 😁
He needed a couple of prompts initially but as we can see his confidence just grew and grew 😃

Behold my other Summer creation and....shock, horror....it's NOT made from wool!! 😃
My 'Web' was a spontaneous idea that popped up one day when I was napping in my hammock. What if I could make something bigger....with a nice view? After a bit of Googling I purchased 20mtrs of climbing rope and 400mtrs of paracord and my Napform (napping platform) was born.
I am immensely pleased with it 😁😍😁
But I've yet to trap my prey 😆

My spinning and desire to make yarn has always been heavily influenced by the colours and the patterns of the world around me, and our latest trip to the South Downs had my creative juices overflowing 😍
I just HAD to translate those views into a custom spinning blend ASAP.

The Class of 25/26 is OUT 🥳🙌😄
It has been the hottest and sweatiest one ever experienced 🥵😅
The changes I anticipated at the turn of the year manifested in a way I hadn't predicted 🤔😏
So I am still working in the same school but with the realisation that I'm much more comfortable in the Resource Base rather than the Mainstream...ironically much like the children I support on a daily basis 🙄😕
I'm still passionate about well being and emotional regulation, getting to know your brain, teaching and modelling good mental health 😁👍
But now it's time to relax, stick my feet in a bucket, crack open a c***r and think about all the things I can do next year 🍻🤪😁

It's been a very chilled Easter break for me. A head cold gave me the perfect excuse to stay home and knit whilst devouring silly stories. I'm so pleased with this finished project.
Raunioiset by Suvi Lyytikainen...a brilliant pattern with excellent explanatory videos and also some new to me techniques. Proof that there are always things to learn and new skills to acquire ❤️
Luckily I have a host of grandchildren to inspire me to knit many more 😁
