So excited to be hosting our international visitors from Turkey - Huib Schippers and Olcay Muslu - at Bath Spa University, Department of Music this week. On Wednesday afternoon (3-5:30pm) they will be presenting their work, respectively, on 'Music, Communities and Sustainability', and 'Recognising Intangible Cultural Heritage in Türkiye Through Music and Dance at the Centennial'. Attention all music lovers in Bath and Bristol. This Wednesday 1st March we have a fabulous concert for you at Bath Spa. Four amazing musicians from Turkey will be onstage in the Tippett Centre ( Newton Park ) at 7pm. Tickets are £8.00 (free for BSU students) from the ticket link below. We are using this event to raise money for Turkish Earthquake Relief so please do come along. Thank you.

Undergraduate students at Bath Spa University with Damir Yakubov and Matt Dicken (lecturer) joined together on 17th March to learn and film this Ukrainian folk song.
The song tells of Cossacks and how they are proudly marching along valleys full of wheat and grass. There are three main characters: Doroshenko, Horoonzhiy, Zagoidachniy - they left their families, mounted horses and hit the road to stop the war.
