A-level results day is here! 😮💯🎉

We've got our fingers crossed for everyone up and down the country who's opening up an envelope today. 🤞 You've worked hard to get to this point, and we truly hope you get the results you wanted!

Whether you're commiserating or celebrating today (hopefully the latter, and doing so in style 🥳🥂), you'll likely have a better idea of where you'll be based as we head into the new academic year. Higher education isn't all about study – it's a great time to meet new people and try out new things, and you'll get the most out of it by throwing yourself into societies, clubs and other extra-curricular activities! 😄

Have you thought about giving martial arts a try? The Jiu Jitsu Foundation is looking forward to welcoming plenty of new members in the coming months. We have clubs all throughout the UK, many of them affiliated with universities, though a great deal are also open to non-students. Head to the TJJF website via the link in our description to find your nearest club!

No matter the results you've achieved, we know that you've put in the work. 💪 And even if that effort didn't translate into the grades you wanted, know that it still counts for something. You'd be surprised how often it pays off somewhere further down the line...!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Jigoro Kano was the progenitor of judo and many other martial arts, including our own style of Shorinji Kan jiu-jitsu. 🥋 This is just one of many nuggets of wisdom he dispensed over the years, and it's only too true in martial arts that you can often feel like you're failing to make progress, struggling to measure up to your peers. But know that every effort you make to turn up and train is an accomplishment in itself – even if the progress that comes with it isn't always immediately visible.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you feel like putting your efforts not just towards academic grades, but jitsu grades as well, the Jiu Jitsu Foundation is looking forward to welcoming new members as we head into the 2026/27 academic year. We have clubs all throughout the UK, many of them affiliated with universities, although a great deal are also open to non-students. It's that time again – A-level results day is right around the corner...! 🤞⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We know it's a stressful time out there for all of you receiving results this week. You've put in hours of study, turned up to the exams – and even though you've got the hard part out of the way, you still don't quite know yet what the future holds for you.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
While you wait, we recommend you do whatever you need to take your mind off things. The gym's always a great place to burn off anxiety and stress. 🏋️ Or alternatively... have you ever thought about giving Japanese Jiu Jitsu a go? 🥋
⁣⁣
Whatever the outcome of your results, The Jiu Jitsu Foundation is looking forward to welcoming new members as we head into the 2026/27 academic year. We have clubs all throughout the UK, many of them affiliated with universities – though a great deal are also open to non-students as well.
