We're hiring!
We are looking for a Homeless Support Worker to join our friendly team in Bath. This is an essential role in our Bath-based supported housing work. You will be a provide of high quality support for our residents, ensuring their needs are met and helping them move on to more permanent housing solutions.

The role:
- Ensure residents receive high quality of support, working as part of a team to help people identify and meet their personal, social, health, learning and employment needs, as identified in their support needs assessment, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Work closely with Bath & North East Somerset Council housing options team to ensure that all referrals can move on as quickly as possible.
- Maintain up to date accurate and confidential case records, documenting events as they happen, ensuring records are clear, complete and legible.
- Provide advise and assistance to residents to understand and comply with conditions of their occupancy agreement to enable them to sustain their accommodation.

Please note: this role requires a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

We’re so proud of our incredible YMCA Brunel Group team, who go above and beyond to support young people every day. Here’s a heartwarming example: at one of our projects, staff have created a “self-soothe box” filled with thoughtful items like chewing gum, fidget toys, a notebook and pen, and relaxing scents—simple tools to help young people manage tough moments. They’ve also made a “compliments jar” packed with personalised, positive notes for each individual. On difficult days, these messages remind our young people that they are seen, valued, and cared for. 💛 It’s small acts of kindness like these that make a big difference. Thank you to our amazing team for always putting people first!
