Creative Root is a forest school in Bath, offering outdoor learning experiences for children and families.

A six-week programme for women, with each session lasting two hours, offering a gentle and restorative space to slow down, connect with nature, meet others and nurture creativity.

Across the six weeks, we’ll explore simple nature connection practices, awaken our senses, share stories and experiences, and discover the seasonal natural world around us.

Sessions will include gentle foraging, simple fire cooking, nature-inspired crafts and creative activities, alongside time for reflection and connection.

Each week offers an opportunity to step away from daily demands and reconnect—with yourself, with other women, and with the natural world.

Our October Half-Term Holiday Club bookings are now open!

There’s still plenty of time, but you can book your child’s place now and have your half-term plans sorted.

Some of the activities will include Forest School skills such as fire lighting, campfire cooking, whittling, den building and woodland games, alongside seasonal Halloween and Samhain crafts, pumpkin carving, magical potion-making, clay creations, sewing, singing and storytelling around the fire.

Our Woodland Family Mornings are a chance for the whole family to slow down, step into the woods and enjoy a morning filled with Forest School play, exploration and seasonal creativity.

These mornings are about simple, joyful time outdoors — giving children space to explore and imagine while families connect with nature and experience the changing seasons together.

Woodland Parent & Child Group is back this autumn!

Thursdays | 10:00–11:45am
Ages 18 months–5 years
Returning Thursday 24 September

Come and explore nature together in our beautiful woodland.

Our Parent & Child sessions offer young children and their grown-ups a gentle, playful introduction to Forest School — a chance to slow down, connect and immerse yourselves in the wonder of the outdoors together.

Each session includes:

Plenty of child-led free play and woodland exploration
Seasonal crafts for children and parents to enjoy together
Time to connect with nature and the changing seasons
A fun-filled circle time with songs and a magical puppet show

These mornings are as much about connection as they are about play — giving children the freedom to explore at their own pace while parents enjoy time outdoors alongside them.

Drop-in: £13 per session

NATURE, CREATIVITY & CONNECTION FOR WOMEN

You’re warmly invited to join us for a gentle six-week woodland programme—a restorative space to slow down, connect with nature, meet other women and nurture your creativity.
