A feast in the forest! 🌳🍐🍄‍🟫✨🌸

What started as an idea and chat in the summer at Forest of Imagination turned into a colourful forest-inspired feast for 150 served in the beautiful meadow at Entry Hill on Friday night!

Thank you to the wonderful Forest of Imagination team for inviting us to be part of this special project once again. It’s where Bath Community Kitchen began back in 2023 so we love coming back.

We served…lentil and mushroom woodland bites with tahini, miso dressing 🍄‍🟫

Flowerful poke bowls with roasted squash, spiced tempeh and pickled pink cabbage 🌸

Date, nut and chocolate tarts with pear crisps and fig
🍐

All vegan and all gluten free!

Last night in Radstock 🍅🎨

We’re settling into our new (temporary) venue in Radstock for our weekly community meals - some lovely new guests, new volunteers and lots of delicious flavours cooked up together in the kitchen!

Thank you Bristol Beacon All Together Now for adding an artistic flavour this week working with the community to create this fantastic sign for the meal! 🙌

September is delicious 🌽🍅🍄‍🟫

Here’s a few of our favourites from September so far…thanks to lovely donations from LARKHALL FARMSHOP, Eades and Barfoots

Whole cobs of corn, steamed in their husks with herby olive oil 😍

Roasted plums and apricots for pudding, delicious on their own or with yoghurt, nuts or toasted coconut!

Roasted veggies as we start to switch seasons - sweet carrots, tomatoes, aubergine and mushrooms.

The final few blackberries foraged by the lovely Emma!

Lots of big flavours at our community meals, what are your favourite things to cook and eat at this time of year?
