A huge congratulations to Jemima and Bea who have both been successful in securing Oxbridge places for the next step in their educational journey.

Former Head Girl Jemima will join her sister and Royal High Alumna, Eloisa, at Oxford where she will read History at Somerville College. Meanwhile, our former Undivided Prefect Bea will read French and Italian at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and is currently celebrating the news whilst touring Vietnam during her summer break.

These outcomes are testament to how hard these girls worked, alongside their service to our school in their leadership roles. We could not be prouder of their achievements and wish them every success for the future.

Welcome to our newest Royal High Bath alumnae.

Today, we are celebrating the achievements of our incredible Year 13 students as they receive their A Level results and join our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students in marking the next exciting step in their journeys.

This year's cohort achieved outstanding outcomes across both pathways, with: 53% of all grades awarded at A/A* (including IB equivalent); nearly 90% of grades at A*-C. Our IB Diploma students achieved an impressive average score of 37 points, significantly above the global average.

These results showcase the strength, breadth and ambition of a Sixth Form community where students are empowered to forge their own path to success. Across both pathways, students have secured places on a remarkable range of courses at leading universities in the UK and beyond.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on exceptional A Level and IB results.

Why girls? Why Not.

Huge congratulations to Royal High Alumna Vittoria Muccilli, who recently had the incredible honour of winning a gold medal at the World Lacrosse Division 2 Senior World Championships with Team Italy at the age of just 19.

After losing only one game in the pool stage to Mexico 9-6, Italy never looked back. After defeating New Zealand in the Semi-finals they once again went head-to-head with Mexico in the Final, this time winning 11-4 to claim the gold. 🥇

Vittoria said:

"Even though Lacrosse isn’t a sport at Royal High, my time there was a crucial growing point in my lacrosse career. I was encouraged to pursue my ambitions both academically and in sport and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support I received.

If sharing my story encourages even one other GDST student to keep pursuing a sport they love, aim a little higher, or believe their goals are within reach, then it will have been worthwhile.”

Welcome to CIRCUS, the first issue of a wonderful Literature and Arts Anthology showcasing an exceptional collection of student poetry, prose and visual art inspired by the theme “Seasons.”

The anthology is the brainchild of Deputy Head Girl, Esme, who conceived, edited and designed the publication. Aspiring to study English at university and become an author, Esme has created a beautiful platform for students to share their creativity and talents.

As Esme explains: "CIRCUS began as an idea to create a space where students could share their writing and artwork beyond the classroom and was designed to showcase the passion and talent of the girls at Royal High. Seeing so many people contribute such thoughtful and imaginative work has been incredibly rewarding, and I hope the anthology inspires others to keep creating and sharing their voices."

A remarkable achievement and a testament to Esme's vision and leadership, CIRCUS is a celebration of creativity, collaboration and the power of young voices.

Three of our students are celebrating national success after helping Team Bath Artistic Swimming Club secure a historic bronze medal at the Swim England Artistic Swimming Combo Cup in Sheffield this month.

Selma, Marni and Scarlett were part of a ten-girl Team Bath squad that competed in Division 1 of the prestigious national competition, for swimmers aged 13–19. Held at the renowned Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, the Combo Cup brings together some of the country's most talented artistic swimmers, with teams travelling from across England to compete.

The Team Bath athletes delivered an outstanding free combination routine, competing against seven other teams in their age category. Their performance earned them a bronze medal and marked a significant milestone for the club: Team Bath's first-ever junior medal at the Combo Cup.

At our recent Leavers' Assembly one of Year 11 students, Tatyana, brought her year as the school's Poet Laureate 2025-26 to a close by reading her poem 'Do Not Deny Your Daughters Their Teeth' about what it is like to be a Royal High Girl.

The poem was a vivid, imaginative and deeply symbolic piece about what it means to grow, learn and belong as a Royal High Girl and was met with warm applause and appreciation from students and staff.

You can read her poem in full in the images in this post and on our website - a wonderful testament to her talent and to the spirit of Royal High School Bath.

Royal High student and our 2026–27 Poet Laureate Esme enjoyed an unforgettable day at Ashdown Forest after winning first place in the Ashdown Forest & Royal Literary Fund poetry competition.

To celebrate 100 years of Winnie‑the‑Pooh, Esme met children’s authors including Julia Donaldson and was congratulated by Queen Camilla, even joining Her Majesty for a game of Poohsticks at the iconic bridge.

“It was amazing - definitely not something I ever expected from winning a poetry competition,” Esme said. “Speaking with Julia Donaldson, whose books I grew up reading, was incredible.”

A magical moment and a wonderful recognition of Esme’s talent.
