This pupils have taken part in a wide range of exciting scientific investigations.

From exploring chromatography and the colourful science behind separating inks, to testing their detective skills with fingerprinting experiments, the children embraced the chance to think like real scientists. They also investigated magnetic forces, explored solubility, and carried out a variety of experiments designed to spark curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

Later in the week, students from transformed a classroom into an escape-room style science lab, challenging pupils to solve clues and apply their scientific knowledge to unlock the next stage of the puzzle. It was a great opportunity for collaboration and problem-solving!

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils also enjoyed special science sessions taught by staff from Prior, giving them the chance to experience new experiments and approaches to scientific enquiry.

Meanwhile, other classes across the school carried out their own scientific investigations, asking questions, making predictions and testing their ideas just like real researchers.

A celebration of discovery and a reminder that science is at its best when pupils can explore, experiment and learn by doing. 💡

We were delighted to present certificates of Distinction to no fewer than 31 Paragon pupils from Years 3–6 this week, in recognition of their success in LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) exams.

From Verse & Prose to Solo, Duo & Group Acting, these young stars shone on stage thanks to their hard work in weekly lessons, dedication, and extra practice at home with family.

Head of School, Mr Bond said: “I’m so proud of every single pupil – what an achievement, we are so lucky to have so many budding actors at The Paragon. Huge thanks to the brilliant Jo Palmer for her work with the children and preparing them so well!”

Many of these pupils will be performing at our upcoming Arts Showcase on 24th March - we can’t wait to see them in action!

What better day than to celebrate our very own Director of Sport, Mr Goodman’s writing success.

An avid historian, Toby has written and published a book about two international rugby players, one from Yorkshire, the other from Lancashire, who gave everything for the game they loved and ultimately lost their lives on the battlefield in France in the First World War.

Dedicated to Lewis Moody and with the foreword written by Martin Johnson, the book tells a story of teamwork, leadership, courage and duty.

World Book Day at The Paragon today has been all about non-fiction exploration! Pupils and teachers donned a fabulous array of costumes bringing a wide range of subjects to life - from suffragettes to explorers, dinosaurs to favourite animals - historic figures to magicians and not forgetting sports people and our team of White Rose rugby players! 🌹

We were also excited to welcome Ryan from who worked with pupils in fun, creative workshops to transform story archetypes into vivid, fully fledged characters ready for their own adventures.

A great day celebrating the power of books and imagination. 📚

On the eve of World Book Day, the Pre Prep has enjoyed a cosy evening of storytelling. Snuggled under blankets in their pyjamas with hot chocolate and cookies, the children listened as teachers shared a few of their favourite books, celebrating the joy of reading together. 📚📖 📚

Congratulations to Paragon alumna Hester Poole who has been selected to represent GB at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games - where she will compete in the vision impaired category in para alpine skiing.

Hester began skiing at the age of six on the dry slope in Mendip and competed internationally for the first time at the age of 12. Since then she has gone on to establish herself as one of Britain’s leading para alpine skiers.

We are incredibly proud of Hester’s achievements and wish her every success as she prepares to compete at the highest level in Milano Cortina! ‼️🇮🇹💙 ⛷️

Year 1 enjoyed a stellar adventure this morning at the Hershel Museum of Astronomy.

They discovered all about space, telescopes and the incredible discoveries of William Hershel - including how he explored the night sky and changed our understanding of the universe.

The highlight was seeing the historic telescope and learning about how astronomers studied the stars many years ago. It was fascinating to step back in time and see how astronomy has evolved!

We were so proud of the children’s fantastic listening skills and the thoughtful, curious questions they asked… future astronomers in the making? ⭐️🔭

At last … sunshine! And what a beautiful day it has been. The perfect timing to show off Year 1’s beautiful tiger paintings, inspired by the classic story The Tiger Who Came To Tea. 🐯

Using vibrant, colourful inks and mark making techniques, the children have created these cheerful characters with wonderfully expressive faces. These friendly tigers are ready to greet you as you step into the art room, bringing with them a splash of warmth and personality. 🐅☀️
