One of our students is raising money for us which is unbelievably touching to us all - Raff is a wonderful young man (15) who is embarking on a 100 mile cycle in one day to raise money to help us bring music to those who may not have access to it! A beautiful gesture and he’s looking to raise £500 and is nearly half way there! Any support anyone can show him would be immensely appreciated! Massive love to him for organising it and thinking of us !! Link in bio for the fundraiser!

This year we hosted the community stage providing an opportunity for young performers to gain vital experience on an outdoor stage at a truly wonderful festival. We had an incredible time, but there is a reason for this song selection. The carnival is a free event, but each year the wonderful Stu works endless hours trying to ensure that it goes ahead and opportunities like this continue. This year has been particularly challenging for fundraising and means they have not hit their target but inevitably means not only Personal financial implications for him but the increased chance that this event won’t continue to happen and that would be a huge loss to the city. We have contributed in our own way and would deeply appreciate anyone that can support their fundraiser to do the same. This really is a special festival, one by very special people. You can find a link on the page tagged above. ❤️

Thank you to the wonderful for allowing us to host a platform for some of our awesome young musicians at their farm fest day. We love having the opportunity to do this and even more so when it’s for a fabulous organisation who do so much for their local community. If you haven’t been up there, it’s such a beautiful place to be definitely one worth checking out. They are also fundraising at the moment as they have so many projects and important things helping all members of the community so check them out if you feel you can help. Thank you to all the young performers who came an played and all the lovely audience members who supported. What a beaut of a day ❤️

Looking for something creative, social and genuinely memorable this summer?

Summer Jam Lab brings young musicians together to form bands, learn songs, rehearse, perform, and most importantly, have fun making music with others.

Over the course of the project, participants work alongside experienced tutors, build confidence, develop new skills, and experience what it’s like to be part of a real band. For many, it’s their first opportunity to make music with other young people who share the same passion.

Whether your child is already having lessons or simply looking to take their next musical step, Summer Jam Lab offers a supportive and welcoming environment where they can grow as musicians and make lasting friendships along the way.

Places are limited and booking is now open.

Special thanks to for creating this video!

WANT TO PERFORM @ WOMAD Festival
We are teaming up with the WOMAD Foundation to curate The Launch Pod at WOMAD. Showcasing our amazingly talented students and members of the wider Music Workshop community.

This stage is going to be a combination of live music, industry talks, and Q & A’s.

We want to put Music Workshop musicians front and centre and be a part of something truly magical. Full bands are welcome as well as smaller acts and solo artists.

There’ll also be opportunities for festival attendees to work with our awesome tutors and take to the stage to perform themselves.

BANDS, SOLO ARTISTS & ACOUSTIC ACTS

Open to ages 11-21

Velvet Blonde were assembled by their teacher Evie. Summer, Lucy, Poppy & Mia are 4 young women with amazing voices, but this was an opportunity to work on harmonies and performance as a group! They were then given the opportunity to work on a setlist and perform on the warm-up stage at . This was one of the songs they did, and they absolutely nailed it. Seeing their smiles at the end and the look of pride on Evie's face was pretty magical! Things like this really do make such a difference to confidence, performance skills, musical awareness and one moment can shape what you decide you want to focus on...massive thanks to for supporting this opportunity! Bring on the next one :)
