It’s always a pleasure to receive a few kind words from a lovely coaching thought partner at the end of our work together.
I used to be super nervous about making testimonial requests from my clients for fear of refusal… Anyone else suffered a similar challenge??
Thankfully I’ve conquered this unhelpful mindset monster as this form of social currency is invaluable in business development!

This time next week I'll be at the CIPD Annual Conference & Exhibition where I'm excited to be involved with the People Library 28 x other storytellers.
It's all about sharing an insight into my backstory, experience & knowledge around my passions of coaching & the outdoors in ~ 'Step outside: co-creating coaching conversations with nature'.
Thanks to Andy Lancaster for conjuring up the concept & Michelle Battista for inviting me to tell my tale.
If you're heading to Manchester for the event it would be great to meet-up F2F (!) for a real opposed to virtual coffee.

***New Coaching Outdoors Podcast Episode***
“You as a coach, you as an outdoor coach, is really personal.
I think that’s the beauty of being a coach and being an outdoor coach, is we all bring so many different skills and experiences and knowledge to the party….
Something the podcast has really showed…..there’s no “one way” of doing outdoor coaching” - Anna-Marie
It was an absolute treat to record this interview IN PERSON with Alexandra during our mini focused 'retreat' a couple of weeks ago. After months of lusting after the stunning Scottish backdrop through a Zoom screen I was finally there!!!
In this series two mid point episode we explore the concept of risk, then deep dive into Alex's dissertation research on the benefits of Attention Restoration Theory (ART) to coaching.
Interested as ever to discover your thoughts, feelings & feedback!

***Coaching Outdoors Episode 10 - Professor Peter Hawkins from Renewal Associates***
‘Ecology is already inside the coaching room; you’re just not paying attention to the ecology or the ecological dimension’ ~ Peter Hawkins
Firmly acknowledging the forgotten stakeholder in the room our interview with Professor Peter Hakwins is a veritable kaleidoscope of mind blowing concepts. His status as a global thought leader amongst the coaching profession whose career spans back longer than I’ve been alive means his knowledge, experience & skills are second to none.
This is definitely an episode you’ll want to listen to at least twice; possibly more to give your brain & body time to process everything.
Big thanks to Jonathan Passmore from myself & Alex Burn (nee Pegg) who kindly facilitated this introduction. Always love the power of collaboration across networks!
Episode 10: Peter Hawkins | Coaching Outdoors
Peter Hawkins opens our conversation with the beautiful words above from the stunning grounds of Barrow Castle, his home on the edge of Bath in Somerset. We’re delighted to share this interview as part of Mental Health Awareness Week where the theme for 2021 is conveniently… nature.

Ultra running is a niche sport where it's easy to question the sanity of it all... In this article I delve into my 'why' alongside other Tribe Sports athletes.
'If you’ve got a tiny voice inside softly whispering, “I wonder if I could do an ultra,” listen to it. Dream, research, plan, train and prepare'. ~ Anna-Marie.
