Today is National Poetry Day.... I love poems and have tried writing a few over the last couple of years...
Donna Ashworth is one of my favourites and her gorgeous words have inspired me.
I'm going to make an effort to write more and maybe learn a bit more about it...
I know I have one of the very first poems I wrote and loved at primary school in a box somewhere.
I'll try and find it...

Was a pleasure to be a part of the workshop gang last weekend Batheaston Art Trail ...
Thank you to all who popped into the scout hut to get creative... including Twinkle the cat 😊🐾
Special thanks to Marian Hill for her brilliant company and amazing insects collages, Rachel Kember with her copper engraving and Maisie Bartlett with her skewer figures...
As you can see we had a wonderful array of gorgeous mixed media postcards created from the beautiful buildings and views in the village..

Lovely day Batheaston Art Trail doing my collage workshop... Looking at some of the gorgeous buildings in the village and turning them into our very own postcards

We had young and older artists join us and everyone produced such individual and amazing work!

Tomorrow I'll be here again in Batheaston Scout Hall from 11-1 and 2-4pm, join in and I'll see you there!

Join me at my collage workshop next weekend at the Batheaston Art Trail really excited to be taking part again!

We're creating gorgeous postcard sized mixed media collages of some of the familiar buildings, homes and views in and around Batheaston and Northend.

I just spent a beautiful afternoon photographing all of these amazing spots, ready for you to join me next weekend.... That's me on the last photo! 💖

Finished a fabulous series of creative solution focused transition workshops at Fosse Way School this week for the second year.
I worked with a brilliant group of post 16 students who are embarking on their new adventures at college in September.

For some of them, they've been at Fosse Way SEND school all of their educational years..so it's a big step.
We created a journal looking at their strengths best hopes and how to face worries positively.
All of them worked really hard and I know they'll be wonderful in whatever they do.
Amazing students with such a positive attitude!

This month my gorgeous Bath elderly residents have been so creative with their varied and brilliant works...
We got the fine china out and drew using continuous line and cutouts too...
Everyone loved looking at the lovely tea sets and really got into the drawing, laughing and reminiscing about drinking tea over the years and how important a cuppa is...☕🫖☕🫖
On mental health awareness week we were celebrating the power of creativity to support wellbeing, connection and confidence through our gentle art workshops for older people.
Brilliant outcomes... as always, thanks to all who joined in, Including carers, relatives and friends ✨

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had the absolute privilege of working with so many fabulous women across residential homes (residents, staff and visitors) in Bath and the surrounding areas. Each conversation, each story, and each moment shared has been a reminder of just how much wisdom, resilience, and strength lives within every generation.
Using the International Women’s Day theme as a starting point opened up such great discussions — about what people do, the lives they’ve lived, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the incredible contributions women make every single day, often without recognition.
From laughter-filled memories to lovely reflections, it’s been truly inspiring to witness the pride, honesty, and connection together.
Celebrating women — old and young — isn’t just about one day. It’s about honouring their stories, amplifying their voices and recognising the impact they’ve had (and continue to have) on the world around us.
Feeling very grateful to do this work 💛
