The children enjoyed listening to Anna read her book about a platypus in the library today. Anna used to live in Australia so they were able to ask her about other Australian animals. They also asked questions about how and when she became and author.

We were so lucky to meet author James Sellick yesterday. He spoke to Apple class about his environmental work around the rainforests in Borneo, specifically about the impact palm oil plantations have on the wildlife. James then read his celebrated book ‘Theres a Rang-Tan in my Bedroom’.

Maple Class did some brilliant Science today dissecting flowering plants to identify their parts. Lots of careful and methodical work!
