Singing songs with actions is a great way to build your child’s communication skills.

Join in with the actions! Adding actions when singing can make it fun and playful and helps your child to understand the meaning of words you’re singing. When they are really little, you can hold their hands and gently do the actions. This gets them ready to join in once they’re older.

For more top tips, lyrics and videos of the actions, download our Sing With Me nursery rhyme booklet: wordsforlife.org.uk/activities/sing-with-me/
