New Shoots Tutoring Limited

Hello and welcome! I am pleased to be starting this new venture and if you are reading this, then thank you for joining me on the journey.
Covid-19 has changed all our lives and made us rethink and adjust them. We have all been worried about our loved ones and those on the front line.
Two months ago, I had no inkling that my life would be going in such a different direction, or how exciting it would be to transfer my business to online. Having resisted changing how I worked initially, feeling scared and adrift, I now find myself a convert to online tutoring. I love it! I can't believe how effective it is and I am loving meeting children from across the country and the world.
It has been a revelation to me that building a fun and supportive teaching relationship with a student is just as effective online as in person. As one child commented, it's as if we are sitting together at the same table. The joy I feel when a student masters a new skill or we have fun in a lesson, remains the same.
What have I learnt, so far? That life-long learning is exhilarating, that change is refreshing and we all need some hand-holding along the way. I'm very grateful for this opportunity.
