Well, that's a wrap! 🎉

Another fantastic school year is complete, and what a year it's been!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported FOLS and taken part in our events. Whether you came along to a disco, bought raffle tickets, ordered tea towels, volunteered your time, or simply cheered us on, you've helped make a real difference for the children at Langtoft School. 💙💛

We've loved every minute of organising this year's events and seeing our school community come together. Thanks to your incredible support, we've been able to fund some amazing resources and experiences for our pupils.

Now it's time for a well-earned summer break! ☀️

Have a wonderful summer, make lots of happy memories, and we'll see you in the new term for even more fun, fundraising and community spirit.

We've had so many amazing events take place in school over the last couple of weeks: a visit from Gladiator, Steele, which was kindly funded by FOLS - Friends of Langtoft School; our summer music concert; a trip to Hunstanton; road safety workshops and a visit to Penfield Nature Reserve.

It was wonderful to see such a buzz about today’s Zactiv workshop with 🛡️ STEEL the Gladiator! 💪⚔️

The children had a fantastic time, and it’s all thanks to all of you in our school community meaning FOLS can organise and fund events like this 💛 💙

With the current spell of hot weather, we are making a few adjustments to help keep the children comfortable and safe during the school day.

For this week, all children are welcome to come to school wearing their PE each day. This will help them stay cool and allow for more flexible, active learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

We kindly ask for your support with the following:

Please ensure your child has suncream applied before coming to school.
Children should bring a named hat or cap for use during outdoor activities.
Please also ensure your child has a named water bottle in school each day so they can stay well hydrated.

🎉 Exciting news! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible support of our school community and the fantastic fundraising efforts of Friends of Langtoft School (FOLS), we are delighted to announce that FOLS has funded a full class set of new iPads worth £7,000 for our school! 📱✨

This significant investment will enhance learning across the curriculum, giving our children greater access to digital resources, interactive learning opportunities, and the skills they need for the future.

Every raffle ticket purchased, event attended, donation made, and hour volunteered has contributed towards making this possible. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supports FOLS. Your generosity and commitment continue to make a real difference to the experiences and opportunities available to our children.

Together, we’ve turned fundraising into a £7,000 investment in our children’s education. 🎓

The weather forecast looks to be dry tomorrow morning so we will go ahead with our planned sports events for EYFS/KS1 at 9am on the school field and KS2 at 10:15am on the Pavilion field however, rain is predicted at lunchtime so on this occasision we are sadly cancelling the family picnic event.

We're celebrating Kate Rolfe as our author this month and the children were able to meet her virtually in assembly. As well as writing & illustrating, Kate works in a children’s bookshop, teaches illustration, and runs regular drawing and writing workshops. She is also proudly neurodivergent and enjoys talking about how our minds work differently, and how vital that is!
