Busy Bees had a wonderful afternoon celebrating Harvest on Friday! After learning about why Christians celebrate this special time of year, the children worked together to build a fantastic scarecrow. To finish the day, they enjoyed taste-testing a variety of different fruits and vegetables.

At Bassingham Primary School, we are incredibly fortunate to have the support of Friends of Bassingham (FOBs), our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). FOBs is a dedicated group of parent volunteers who work tirelessly to raise additional funds for our school, helping to provide exciting opportunities and resources that directly benefit our children.

However, FOBs are now at a critical point and is in vital need of new volunteers. The current committee will be stepping down at the end of the academic year due to their children moving onto secondary school. Without additional members stepping forward, there is a genuine risk that our PTA may be unable to continue in its current form. We are therefore looking for parents, carers, grandparents, and members of our school community who may be interested in supporting this important work.

To find out more and register your interest, we will be holding a ‘FOBs – We Need You Morning’ on Friday 23rd October at 9.00am. This will take place at Bassingham Primary School.

Busy Bees had a lovely walk yesterday in the sunshine to the Green’s Grocery to buy a stamp as part of our ‘Let’s Explore’ project. We will be posting surprises home before the end of the term!

Busy Bees had a very exciting visit from the dentist on Thursday! The dentist spoke to us about looking after our teeth, which foods and drinks are bad for our teeth, and how to practice correct toothbrushing skills. We were then able to have a go at brushing giant teeth and exploring other dental-themed activities!
