All the winners have now been contacted and been given their prizes from the Summer Fair. This included the fast infant and junior aged child in the Hockey Dribble Challenge run by Sports Xtra; the winners of the prize draws for both the Picture and Maths Trail as well as person who guessed the closest number of Stars in a Jar!

A huge thank you to everyone who baked and supplied cakes for our refreshments stall! Thanks to your incredible support, we have some delicious treats left over.

We’ll be holding a pop-up cake sale today at the Infant School, so come grab the perfect after-school treat!

💰 Payment: Cash is preferred, but we will have a card reader available.
🛍️ BYO: Please bring some Tupperware if you want to take your goodies home safely!

On the day of their Summer Fair a reminder to all Friends Of Old Basing Schools - FOOBS parents and children that the Village Show takes place 9 weeks today on Sunday 6 September, with some fantastic new classes for children of all ages (and some great things to craft with them over the summer holidays!)

How exciting are all these raffle prizes for the F.O.O.B.S. Summer Fair 2026?
Good luck everyone!

As the Summer Fair is being held on school grounds, no dogs are permitted at the event.

There are two versions of a free of charge trail to enjoy: a Maths Trail and a Picture Trail, with clues hidden all around the field. Answer sheets are available at the Entrance and from the Raffle Tent. Once completed, please return your answer sheet to the Raffle Tent, making sure to include your child's name and class, or your phone number.
There is a prize for each trail, and the winners will be announced after the event.

Most stalls will be cash-only, so please bring lots of change! However, there will be card machines available on the BBQ, the Bar and Refreshments. You can also get cash back from the refreshments stall.

As requested earlier in the week, we would be very grateful for any donations of baked goods (homemade or purchased). If you can provide any 'free from' cakes, this would also be appreciated as we have a number of children who have allergies. Please avoid any nuts or nut-based ingredients. If the baked goods are homemade, please include a list of ingredients for those with allergies.
Cake donations can be dropped at the Junior School on Sunday 5th July between 9-11:30am – please drop off at the main school entrance, there will be a table inside the 1st set of doors. Alternatively, please bring with you on the day, when you come to the Fair.

The studio is officially packed and ready for the FOOBS Summer Fair in Old Basing this Sunday 5th July!

I will be at St Mary’s School from 12pm to 3pm with the full collection of hand-poured pure aromatherapy blends.
