Events provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together.

Did you know that as an Infant or Junior School parent, you’re automatically a member of F.O.O.B.S. (Friends of Old Basing Schools)?

Come to our AGM on Wednesday 7th October at 7:30pm (Infant School) to see what we raised last year, how it helped the kids, and what’s next!

There’s zero pressure to commit. Whether you can give an hour at an event, bake a cake, donate a prize, or join our committee, every bit of support makes a huge difference.

It's DISCO TIME for Year 2!

The disco will be on Friday 2nd October from 17.00 - 18.30 in the school hall. Please note this is a drop off event – drop off is at Reception and the pick-up location is the hall entrance into the courtyard (the teachers will see the children out to their parents at the end of the disco).

Tickets are now on sale until 8pm on Thursday 1st October via the F.O.O.B.S. website https://foobs.weebly.com/ and are priced at £5.00 each (including a drink and a biscuit).

🏆SUMMER FAIR 2026 WINNERS🏆

All the winners have now been contacted and been given their prizes from the Summer Fair. This included the fast infant and junior aged child in the Hockey Dribble Challenge run by Sports Xtra; the winners of the prize draws for both the Picture and Maths Trail as well as person who guessed the closest number of Stars in a Jar!

Thanks to everyone who took part and if you didn’t win, there’s always next year!

A huge thank you to everyone who baked and supplied cakes for our refreshments stall! Thanks to your incredible support, we have some delicious treats left over.

We’ll be holding a pop-up cake sale today at the Infant School, so come grab the perfect after-school treat!

⏰ When: 3:15 PM – 3:45 PM OR until we sell out!
📍 Where: The Infant School
💰 Payment: Cash is preferred, but we will have a card reader available.
🛍️ BYO: Please bring some Tupperware if you want to take your goodies home safely!

⚠️ Please note: To keep things fair for our Junior School families, we won't be selling any cakes before 3:15 PM. See you there!

On the day of their Summer Fair a reminder to all Friends Of Old Basing Schools - FOOBS parents and children that the Village Show takes place 9 weeks today on Sunday 6 September, with some fantastic new classes for children of all ages (and some great things to craft with them over the summer holidays!)

Which class will you enter (all of them!)?

95. A miniature garden in a seed tray (max. size 25 x 38cm) 👨‍🌾 👩‍🌾

There are two versions of a free of charge trail to enjoy: a Maths Trail and a Picture Trail, with clues hidden all around the field. Answer sheets are available at the Entrance and from the Raffle Tent. Once completed, please return your answer sheet to the Raffle Tent, making sure to include your child's name and class, or your phone number.
There is a prize for each trail, and the winners will be announced after the event.
