‼️ REMINDER: Nutrition is just as much of a journey as your physical training
▫️Knowledge takes time to collate. Understanding the different roles & purpose of each food group is so important. Only when you have that understanding can you actually begin to provide your body with what it needs in that moment.
▫️ Behaviour change. If your eating habits have remained the same for several years, be realistic & don’t expect yourself to switch up overnight. Progress yourself at a suitable pace ☝🏼
▫️Life happens! Our busy schedules, mood & emotions, organisation, mental energy etc. all have a big impact on whether we follow through on our intentions. Managing each of these requires grit & patience.
You don’t go from squatting 20kg to 120kg in 1 training block, so…

In the busy & fast paced world that we live in, it’s so important that we take moments to slow down.
Throughout your day try to slow down your thoughts & notice what’s around you using any of your senses 👀👃🏼🫴🏼👄
I use my morning walk as the perfect time to practice just this. Sound on to listen to the birds 🕊️

The mindset of adding to your meals is underrated.
Taking away from your meals & eating as little as possible only leaves you hungry & nutrient deficient.
Having the thought process of ‘just 1 add more’ is a game changer.
• 1 more vegetable 🍆
• 1 more source of protein 💪🏼
• 1 more handful of nuts 🥜
• 1 more healthy fat 🫒
