🐻✨ Goldilocks and the Three Bears Sensory Tray ✨🐻

Our little learners enjoyed exploring our Goldilocks and the Three Bears sensory tray today! 🥣

Sensory trays encourage children to explore different textures, colours and materials, supporting their fine motor skills, imaginative play development and much more! Using a familiar story further supports children’s language, communication and early literacy, as well as introducing mathematical concepts such as ‘big, medium and small’ and sequencing 🔢

Every child matters and are at the heart of all our activity planning. Here at Piccolo, we always strive to ensure that every child has equal opportunities to learn and explore in ways that support their individual needs 💜

🎨 Footprint Activity and More Skill Building!

Continuing our ‘All About Me’ topic, the children enjoyed a fun footprint painting activity. This hands-on experience supports the development of a range of skills, while also providing valuable sensory exploration.

The children were given opportunities to develop balance, coordination and confidence, strengthen their physical and fine motor skills, and express their creativity. Most importantly, they had lots of fun, exploring and learning through play! 🌈✨

The children are doing so well settling in at Piccolo, with opportunities to explore both our indoor and outdoor areas 🌿

✨Fine Motor Skills✨

Today we did activities with the children that focus on supporting the development of their Fine Motor Skills.

Activities such as throwing and catching a ball, clapping, waving, pointing, and patting are just some of the ways we can help to further support your child's development.

We also did a handprint craft with the children 🎨 we love doing arts and crafts activities with the children here at Piccolo and they are always so excited to take them home to show their families.

Another lovely week ahead here at Piccolo 💜

✨WELCOME BACK TO PICCOLO✨

All the children have been settling in so well, exploring our newly updated garden area, engaging with the variety of resources we have available, eating healthy snacks and creating lots of artwork 🎨

Our inclusive setting ensures that the children have a variety of ways to communicate with the staff and to their friends, verbally and non-verbally. One of these is through Makaton. Our Makaton sign of the week is "Hello".

We look forward to sharing more with you!

Thank you all so much for attending our Piccolo Sports Day!🏅 We are so proud of all our children, they did fantastic! We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

If you have any photos you are happy to share in the comments, please do, we always love seeing the photos you take at our events! 🥹 A gentle reminder to please be mindful of other children who may be in the photographs, as many parents do not wish for their children to be on social media.

We will see our School Leavers tomorrow for their Graduation day! We are already emotional 💜
