I’ve just spent the last four days volunteering and attending the Forest School Association conference in Walesby. It was wonderful to spend time will so many like minded people, making new friends, discovering, exploring, learning and playing! I’m looking forward to reflecting on the experience properly over the coming days and how I can bring my new knowledge and understanding into my sessions and how I can keep the ember burning! 🔥

Now the idea of doing some training on a Sunday night isn’t usually my cup of tea, but for the chance of taking part in a confidence workshop with Jon Cree (a Forest School legend!) I will bring my tea with me!

Thrilled to be back playing in the woods yesterday - after 5 weeks away from site, it was like seeing an old friend again.
As we had had quite a bit of rain over the week and a whole day full previously, we were able to embrace fire for the start of this new group.
We lit a warming fire, had ago at using fire strikers (which everyone was amazingly good at), chilled in the hammocks and enjoyed some fire cooked bacon rolls!

Taking full ownership of my AI use here to produce this poster as I sprint to complete all my admin before going on a 3 week summer holiday tomorrow at 6am! Simply don’t have time to spend 45 minutes on Adobe express tonight.

This Tuesday I’m hosting Jane Veevers over in the Forest School Support Hub, she’s delivering an online live weaving workshop - yes really!

New practical skills and inspiration for your session, no previous experience necessary.

Recording and supporting resources also available.
