Please be aware of an SMS scam claiming you have unpaid parking fees. These messages are not from RingGo. If you receive one, do not click any links or share your payment details.
You can always check whether you have any unpaid parking sessions securely in the RingGo app or on the RingGo website. https://ringgo.co.uk/
If you're unsure about a message claiming to be from RingGo, always check your account directly through our app or website rather than following links in a text message. Thank you for helping us keep your account and our app safe.

The RingGo app was briefly unavailable earlier today due to a technical issue affecting the platform. We are aware that performance is being affected and are working on a solution. During this time some users may have experienced difficulties parking while others were still able to book a session. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience while we address the issue.

Parking apps are sometimes criticised for excluding older drivers by penalising them for not owning or being able to use a smartphone.
But research shows that 86% of people over the age of 65 rate their ability to use their smartphone as good (60%) or very good (26%), and it’s expected that 95% of the UK population will be smartphone users by 2025.
We know that some drivers may still prefer not to use an app, which is why we also offer SMS and phoneline payment options at RingGo sites.

Recent scams involving false QR codes are one of the latest attempts by criminals to trick unsuspecting drivers. RingGo never uses QR codes for parking payments; our parking app lets you pay via a secure, encrypted service.
If you suspect there’s a false QR code on a pay-and-display machine or street signage, you should immediately report it to the council or private car park provider operating in the area.
You can also avoid fake websites by only using our official websites or visiting the App Store or Google Play to download the official RingGo app.
