Happy New year to you all. We hope you had a fun break . We know many of us find the social expectations , crowds , noise and sparkle overload that accompanies the festive season celebrations; can be extremely challenging for us and/or our neurodiverse loved ones. A calm January is therefore probably very welcome.

There are some very very useful events mentioned in the flyers attached please take the time to read them and share, particularly with parents of children with SEND

We hoped to open in December for celebrations and fundraising but we didn't manage to arrange a date and finding time was very much an issue too.
Consequently, we are having a celebration and fundraising event on Tuesday 28 January. More details next week. Watch this space !!
On the topic of funds as membership runs January to December we would be very grateful to receive your donations for this year.
An application form is attached please complete, scan and email it to us or pop it in the post.
If you have completed a form recently (ie in the last 12 months)and are just renewing, please put your name or organisation as a reference on the transfer and send us an email to say you've paid.
We know times are tough and some parents in particular cannot at present make a donation. Please don't let that stop you from making use of the library.
Re Flyers
There are a number of informative and supportive meetings/ workshops being held for parents and carers of children with additional needs. In one event SENDIASS are offering 1to1 sessions ; One is being run by CAMHS. It costs £25 but includes lunch and is a whole day event. The third event is to help parents support 14 to 25 yr olds with SEND

Today we had Mary from Basingstoke Voluntary Action visit us today to talk about moving forward with our SEND library. Exciting times ahead!!

Support us at our fundraiser at Tesco in Chineham today 13 August. Try our Teddy Tombola and help us tell people about the SEND library.

Our SEND library is open Saturday 20 July 10am-12pm. Come to browse and chat. Refreshments available. We look forward to seeing you.
