Transitions in early years can range from having a nappy change to moving up in rooms and each one no matter big nor small can need emotional support and one of the ways we can help support is by providing our little ones with the understanding of ‘Now’ and ‘Next’ to give them a plan and the feeling of importance in the decision making!

Creating curiosity awe and wonder even in the garden 🪴 The children absolutely loved experimenting ice melting with the water, mark making with natural resources found in their environment, painting with the ice & working on their fine and gross motor skills with pouring and emptying 🫙

Cookery Club 🧑‍🍳 🥄 Threaded in our NCC Curriculum and Values, Cookery Club promotes so many wonderful learning opportunities:

⚖️Mathematics - measuring, weighing, scooping and pouring

🥣Gross Motor Skills/ Writing skills - Mixing and whisking ingredients, transferring cake batter from the bowl to the cases.

🤝Turn taking skills and Collaboration

🧠Learning Key Life Skills - chopping, self independence, risk taking and safety

📝Early Literacy- Reading & following instructions from a recipe

🍽️Building healthy relationships with food and discussing different food groups and textures
