We have been using the babies’ current interests to thoughtfully enhance their environment and create meaningful opportunities for exploration and learning. Our mud kitchen and home kitchen encourage imaginative play, sensory exploration and opportunities to imitate familiar experiences from home.
We have also created a cosy corner where babies can relax, explore books and enjoy quieter moments at their own pace. Alongside this, we are supporting their growing interest in self-care by providing opportunities to practise everyday routines such as washing hands, brushing hair and caring for themselves and others.
By following what captures their curiosity, we can create an environment that feels engaging, familiar and responsive to their individual interests and developing needs.❤️

As autumn arrives at The Willows Day Nursery, we embrace the changing season and all the wonderful experiences it brings. From crunchy leaves and conkers to pumpkins, nature walks and cosy autumnal activities, the children have plenty of opportunities to explore, discover and learn about the world around them. 🍂🎃 We love creating meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, wonder and lots of happy memories along the way.

Another Graduation completed here at The Willows 💚

We hope to give every child we care for the best start in life, helping them to explore and be curious, become resilient, build friendships, find their voices and be ready to take on the bigger world. No matter how grown up they become, they will always have a special place in our hearts at The Willows and we will remember each and everyone, as well as their families.

Just a small insight to some of the staff that we have here at The Willows. With such a vast amount of knowledge, experience and qualifications mixed with practitioners learning and training ensure that we are always learning and developing together. We all have our own passions and ideas that we want to develop on, this creates a holistic approach to how we work with parents, enrich children’s lives and ensure best outcomes. Transitions in early years can range from having a nappy change to moving up in rooms and each one no matter big nor small can need emotional support and one of the ways we can help support is by providing our little ones with the understanding of ‘Now’ and ‘Next’ to give them a plan and the feeling of importance in the decision making!

Our cookery club this week was inspired by Chinese New Year and we made Spring rolls. This sparked interesting conversations about what we have eaten and tried at home and what foods we would like to try. The Early years did a fantastic job of getting stuck in and putting those fine motor skills to the test with their chopstick use and rolling the pastry🍜
