🎨 Mud, nature and lots of creativity!

Our Preschool children at College Town Montessori enjoyed a brilliant Forest School-inspired activity, creating their very own mud faces using natural resources they discovered around them. 🍂

The children began by looking carefully at their reflections before using mud, leaves, sticks and other natural materials to recreate their features. What a fun way to encourage creativity, communication, physical development and early maths skills, while exploring the outdoors! 🪵

Learning through nature gives children so many opportunities to investigate, create and express their own ideas – and getting a little muddy along the way makes it even more fun! 💚

We recently invited our parents and families to help our Positivi’Tree grow by adding messages of thanks, kind words and some of the things their children love most about nursery. 🍃

🌱 We’re growing something special at Kiddi Caru Walnut Tree!

We’re delighted to celebrate that the nursery has achieved the RHS Level 1 Gardening Award! 🌿

From planting seeds and caring for flowers to exploring nature and discovering how plants grow, our children have loved getting involved in gardening and spending time outdoors. Along the way, they’ve been developing new skills, building confidence and connecting with the natural world. 🌼🐝

A huge well done to our children and team for reaching this exciting milestone, and thank you to our families for supporting us along the way.

🌟 Curious, confident and ready to explore!

We’re celebrating a fantastic Ofsted outcome at Kiddi Caru Downend Road, recognising the calm, caring environment the team creates for children to feel safe, secure and valued.

The inspection highlighted Strong standards in children’s welfare and wellbeing, as well as behaviour, attitudes and establishing routines. Inspectors also recognised the warm relationships children build with the team and the many opportunities they have to develop their independence, curiosity and confidence. 🌱

From hot-air balloon experiments to sensory exploration, stories and child-led discovery, there’s lots to celebrate! 🎈

🌍 Exploring the world through our own adventures!

Our Preschool children at Kiddi Caru Whiteley have been sharing photographs and stories from their holidays, telling their friends all about the different places they’ve visited with their families.

Inspired by their conversations, the children created drawings of their adventures and worked together on a special display, helping to build confidence, communication skills and curiosity about different places and cultures. 🗺️

We’ve now extended their interest with a dedicated area where children can explore maps, photographs and resources from around the world, encouraging even more questions, conversations and discoveries! ✨

Today marks the Autumn Equinox, and our 0–2s at The Old Barn Day Nursery have been embracing the changing season with a lovely autumn-inspired sensory experience. 🍁💛

The children explored glowing lights, autumnal resources and different textures, using their senses to investigate and discover at their own pace. ✨

Seasonal activities like this are a wonderful way for our youngest children to explore their senses, spark curiosity and begin to notice the changing world around them. 🍂🌿

We’re incredibly proud to share that both Elan Day Nursery and Elan Preschool in Haywards Heath have achieved a Strong standard across all areas following their separate Ofsted inspections. 👏

Ofsted recognised the strong relationships children build with their educators, the learning opportunities available and the support given to help every child progress. Across both settings, children were found to be happy, confident and engaged, building important foundations for their next steps. 🌱

A fantastic achievement and wonderful recognition for both Elan teams! 🎉
