First day of the Easter holidays and a very busy one! It’s been lovely having our older friends join us again, and even better that the sun’s been shining.
We’ve made some yummy chocolate Easter nests, had a good run around at the park this morning with our friends. After lunch we went for a walk, practised being safe near the roads, as well as colouring puppets for a puppet show, reading books, playing with the dolls and toolboxes.

Today we had an exciting day out at Marwell Zoo - the first visit to a zoo for some of the children. Our favourite animals were the giraffes, rhinos and hippos. We were also lucky enough to see the tiger and snow leopard today as well.
We didn’t manage to make it all the way round because of tired little legs and a big downpour, but are planning a return trip to see the other half.

Today we had a special treat and went for breakfast with Santa. The children were very good waiting patiently to hand him their letters and had fun playing catch with the elves while they waited.
After our chat with Santa we had a yummy breakfast before visiting our friends at Flutterbabies. There we glued some pictures, read books, sang Christmas songs and played with the fake snow.

Today we went to Sherfield on Loddon garden centre to see if we could spot Father Christmas. Unfortunately he must’ve been at the North Pole today getting ready for the big day.
We still had fun though looking at all the decorations, sitting on the giant bench and trying to throw snowballs in the snowman.
We had a look at the big fish and a run around on the grass spotting mushrooms before lunch too.
At the house we’ve been role playing using the phone ordering pizza, dressing up and playing duplo

We went to visit our friends at Flutterbabies where we did some hand printing, played with Christmas toys, and sang Christmas songs.
We also paid a quick visit to the shops on our way back and loved watching and waving to the Father Christmas train as it went by.

Munchkins today. We role played with the dinosaurs and ponies, enjoyed the slide and the ride on toys and spent a long time with the playdough.
After lunch we played with Duplo and Peppa Pig toys before clearing away to do some dancing. Then we played games practising counting, matching, fine motor control as well as persevering when we found something hard, and managing our feelings if things didn’t go our way.

Autumn theme at Messy Play this morning where we had great fun as always, followed by lunch at Rosebourne and a look at the Christmas things.
This afternoon we put on our wellies and gave the garden toys a good clean. My 2 helpers did such a fab job and were very proud of their results! Afterwards they were rewarded with hot chocolates and marshmallows to warm them up.

What better to do on a rainy day than stay in, do some baking and some craft?
We used different materials and techniques to make lots of pictures- squeezing, printing, drawing, using our pincer grips for stickers and having a go at using scissors- which was very tricky!
Then we made some yummy gingerbread boys and girls to eat after our lunch 😋
We also been role playing with the fire station, animals and Father Christmas, stacking curtain rings and exploring magnets.

Poppy theme at Messy Play for Armistice Day. Lots of messy fun, bubbles and great singing is the best way to end the week.
Have a good weekend 🥰

We started off the day with some singing and dancing to get our bodies moving before going to Munchkins group to see our friends.
There we made some poppies for Remembrance Sunday, enjoyed dressing up and role playing. We used our imaginations to make phone calls to our favourite people, including Father Christmas 🎅, and patiently waited for our turn to use the phone.
Back at the house we’ve been playing dinosaurs, superheroes and sorting different materials for recycling with our new game.
