🌈🎨 Exploring The Colour Monster! 🎨🌈

After reading The Colour Monster this week, the Poppies enjoyed exploring the different colours through a fun, hands-on painting activity! 🖌️

Using pipettes, the children carefully added colourful paint to their Colour Monster tree, watching the colours spread and mix together. 🌳✨

A lovely way to encourage creativity, colour recognition and develop those all-important fine motor skills! 💛💙💚❤️

🌧️ Making the most of the rainy days! 🌧️

Following the change in weather this week, our Preschool children have been exploring all things rain! ☔️

They’ve been getting creative with raindrop-themed playdough and painting their very own rainy-day pictures. 🎨💧

It’s been lovely to see their imaginations flow as they explored the sights, sounds and creativity inspired by the rain! 🌦️✨

National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.
