Well COVID happened took two years but it finally got me.

This has taken me slightly longer than I would of liked to get started, but let's crack on.
Going forward my plan is to teach miniature painting, be that table top, be that competition standard or even somewhere in between. I also want to help find YOUR style, but give you the tools to do that. How is this going to work… well im looking for some guinea pigs *cough* students to help me and for me to help them. The idea is we will meet up, and I'll teach you what I know about miniature painting, and painting in general.

I want to teach you to paint, not to just paint a single style or type of miniature, or a specific colour, I want you to have the confidence, to look at something and think god I can't wait to get that on my desk later, not put it on the shelf to never see a paint brush.

You're also be given references to be able to work from so that you can look back at use it as and when you need it. The key thing to all of this is… it's FREE!

All you will need to start with is yourself a miniature and some paints, which I will provide.

Now lessons will be specific to what you want to learn and level of ability etc, but first I'd like to teach some basic principles to painting. That will give us a foundation to work from. For some it might be sucking eggs early on others might find it a huge help. Below is an example of a few of the worksheets that were use as references for instance when teaching about painting faces, placement of shadows, and OSL.

So… the big question is who would like to enrol in the first Starter Brush class in Basingstoke… if so give me a private message on here and were find a time to suit you.

Hi guys its Jim from the Warhammer Basingstoke store, so since I've left ,I've literally had non stop questions about asking for help. So I hope everyone is ok, everyone has been asking for help with painting, sculpting some want lessons, some just to better understand where they are going wrong etc.

I've been trying to work out the best way to help you all. So I thought this would be a start and then we can chat about times, places etc, maybe even online lessons.

All I would ask is a little bit of patience as this is very new, its one thing teaching you in a shop environment where the "goal" is how shall we say slightly different, compared to making sure you guys get something physically from it.
