Many thanks to our volunteer Kerry for raising a whopping £250 with her online quiz, please keep an eye out for our future fundraising events

Martial Arts Community Trust are a charity, who amongst other things, help to partially (but heavily) fund wheelchair martial arts classes. Many students gain SO much from these classes: the feeling of belonging, friendship, learning new skills, building strength, confidence and resilience (and much more!). To continue with these classes, we desperately need to raise some funds!
Our MACT Volunteer Kerry is holding a quiz on Zoom on Saturday April 2nd at 6pm and she’d love for you to join her (with camera on or off if you’re more comfortable). It’ll be family friendly, so please do invite your family/friends/neighbours - the more the merrier! Please donate an entry fee to the Go Fund Me page (link is in the comments) of whatever you can afford and let’s have some fun whilst raising vital funds for this incredible charity.
Thank you so much!
*If quizzes aren’t your thing but you’d still like to donate, then please do so. We really appreciate your help. 🤗

Happy International Women’s Day 🙌
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all .

Congratulations to Adrienne who double graded to red belt this weekend (and picked up her Bronze Medal from the ESKF British Open this summer).
Check out our Rising Heroes' breakfalls! We, as Martial Artists, need to learn how to fall safely and in a controlled manner. This helps us to minimise our risk of injury when we do take a tumble, and helps us when we begin learn some throws.

You may have noticed some of our coaches wearing pride stickers, this is because we are proud to support the LGBTQ+ Community.
We believe everyone has the right to train in a safe and supportive environment.

Our MACT Volunteer Kerry was up bright and early this morning to do a bootsale. Although she was rained off halfway through, she still managed to raise a fantastic £40 for Martial Arts Community Trust.
🤩
If you have any other fundraising ideas, please have a chat with Kerry, who would love to hear them.
Same time next week! ☔️

Do you like to read? 📚
A great way to support our charity is to head over to the page MACT BOOKS. It’s a page that’s been set up to sell good quality secondhand books to raise money for the charity. The page is brand new but there will soon be lots of lovely books on there to choose from, with a wide variety of genres. Most will require just a very small donation but I’m also in the process of putting together some book bundles and also ‘Blind Date with a Book.’ You will be able to choose a book that is covered in brown paper, with the genre written on the front and some key details but essentially, you won’t know which book you’ll receive (the first batch sold on the very first day!). A great idea if you’re in a reading slump or even as a lovely gift! 😊

Martial Arts Community Trust have been busy behind the scenes providing funds for various seated classes. The partially funded classes (which are for wheelchair users), include Karate, Mixed Martial Arts, and Tai Chi. More recently, the charity have also fully funded a new Seated Circuits class, which has already seen a great uptake in just the first few weeks. These classes have proved beneficial in more ways than one. Our Martial Artists say that because of these classes they are fitter, stronger, motivated and focused. They feel included, empowered and supported. It is only with peoples generous donations that the charity are able to provide these classes and we’d love your help in enabling us to continue to provide Martial Arts classes that are accessible to all.
