Farther’s Day wishes❤️
Hello, I’m Jo, I’m coaching Chilren and Parents to support their emotional feelings and behaviours. To help navigate, identify, accept and manage.
I can offer a “safe space” to learn how to calm and relax their big feelings with individualised Coaching.

It’s not about rewarding the unwanted behaviour, it’s meeting the need. See what is needed and step into that space. It will help you to bring calm.

Just had to share this good news and I know it’s not my usual Children’s emotional support post, but…..
🙌🙌🙌🙌 progress made through the increased awareness, publicity and knowledge that we are all exposed to via marketing campaigns, plus ongoing social media posts, this proves to be for the better.
We are thankful for this.
A positive post
This is huge. ❤️

Amazing news! Cervical cancer deaths in younger women have plummeted in England following the rollout of the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine, according to new research, published today in The Lancet.
Between 2020 and 2024, there were no deaths from cervical cancer in women aged 20-24 in England for the first time. HPV vaccine coverage in this group was close to 90%, and the vaccine was offered at age 12-13.
Our research helped prove the link between HPV and cervical cancer, and led to the development of the HPV vaccine. The vaccination programme in England has been shown to reduce cervical cancer incidence rates by up to 90%. It’s also important that women consider taking up cervical screening when invited, even if they've had the HPV vaccine. The HPV vaccine and cervical screening combined is the best way to prevent cervical cancer.
Until now, it’s not been possible to show directly that HPV vaccination reduces cervical cancer deaths. With vaccinated generations now reaching adulthood, this study provides the strongest national evidence to date that the vaccine is saving lives.

Solutions to help in that tricky moment ….
Scripts and phrases help….
Reassure your child that this big feeling that they are experiencing will pass.
Guide your child gently if they can name the feeling, this will take the heat away from the possible adrenaline spiked feeling. Acknowledge it and give it some grace, value it and why it’s shown up. Reiterating, reassuring that it will pass.
Identify the feeling. 😤😖😠😡 it’s ok to feel the feeling but teach them that there are many ways to talk through worries- looking at solutions especially checking facts and not fake thinking or overthinking this
will help so much.

Take a Deep breath then remind yourself that you can sit with the big/ unwanted emotion / feeling for a while the chemical exchange happens, it will only last for 90 seconds - wait for the chemically high the fuelled response to pass- it only last longer when we continue to be scared of the feeling- adrenaline will always be released to prepare us for ANYTHING, real or a fake THREAt, it wants us to act upon it -
and as soon as you remind yourself with positive kind thoughts, as this can help to calm yourself down. Quicker- Good practise for ourselves as adults too, then we are ready to be there for that child/person who needs us to feel calm or safe. Connection is key.
This works but you got to do it with conviction and believe what you’re saying will help. Then the emotional part of our brain can start to relax and let go of the threat of the big feeling.

Unlike typical sadness, it feels physically painful or unbearable and often causes sudden mood shifts, extreme shame, or social withdrawal.
